Is there any merit to this tweet about Megan Walker "close to" coming to UConn?

Who was the recruit last year that posted on social media to disregard any news, releases, tweets or anything regarding her or where she intends to go (or is leaning), unless it comes directly from her.
I personally disregard tweets or releases of this nature. I'm not going to get my hopes up, only to have the rug yanked out from under me.

That's what I'm doing with Megan Walker. Whoever is putting out these "teasers" is not doing her any favors, or respecting her privacy. They're trying to steal her thunder. Who is benefiting from these tweets? Surely not Megan. This is HER rodeo, not theirs. When she's ready to make an announcement, SHE"LL do so, and she won't do it through a second or third party. The announcement should come directly from her. There is a time and place for everything. She and her family should be the only ones that decide where and when.

The info was actually released in a passing manner in an online article about another player from Walker's state. The guy it came from covers high school sports in the Rochester area including Monacan. Don't think he's trying to steal any thunder. He seems legit whether he received correct info or not.

Are we moving to some broad consensus to try to respect the privacy of potential recruits and the health information of our players and coaches? I'm not sure what the boundary is (maybe what you'd feel comfortable having strangers discuss about you on the web), but quite definitely when it comes to our discussing these matters, less is better here.

I think you own this one!! I too hope to log on and find Uconn have sent a Uniform to some top flight recruit .
Megan would be a huge plus.. to go along with Stevens. Can we bundle this deal??? (I'm watching the Pickers as I write)

Until she actually commits, I think it's safe to say that her decision is not yet made.

Right now, we know that she has made unofficial visits to UConn at least twice and that she had a "great day" on her most recent one. It doesn't take any inside info to infer that UConn is "in the lead" with her.

No problem at all with discussing recruits. Lets be honest - this time of year, recruting is where the excitement lies.
After all, isn't the whole point of the Boneyard to discuss all matters related to the UConn Women & recruitng happens to be a major part of the entire operation. I know recruiting (especialy lately) can lead to heartbreak. Trust me I know (A'ja Wilson, Lauren Cox). But I see no problem with getting excited about it.

That seems to be a popular tweet with prospective UConn recruits................I've seen it on a number of the girl's twitter pages..................keep the videos coming ladies (only if it meets NCAA rules that is)
