Is Leslie Uggams a UConn fan?

I’m watching Deadpool tonight. For those who haven’t seen it, it’s not your typical Marvel movie. It’s got nudity and violence - a lot of violence- and it’s hysterically funny in a gross, tacky, non-politically correct way. Anywho, Leslie Uggams plays Blind Al, Wade/Deadpool’s roommate. When Deadpool first meets Blind Al, she’s wearing a sweatshirt with what looks like a UConn husky on it. Check it out. Is Leslie a UConn fan?

It looks like a PURPLE sweater or sweat top. If it is, that is a University of Washington garment. Their mascot is also a Husky. Their colors are purple & gold. That does not however preclude her from being a UConn fan. As you know, UConn fans are EVERYWHERE, and come in all ages, shapes and sizes.

Yeah, but as your pic shows, their husky looks different.

Until 1994 the Washington Logo looked like this.....

I found another screen grab of her with the shirt and enhanced it a little. ........

While the shirt graphic probably looks more like the old Washington Husky than the new UCONN Husky there is a better possibility that the design that is not affiliated with either school. Just a shirt that has a Husky Dog (Or maybe even a wolf?)

She’s great in the movie. Terrific sense of humor

I'm one of (I'm sure) many here who remember Leslie Uggams as an very talented kid on a show called Name That Tune in the 50s. Had no idea what had happened to her since. Nice to she she's still around.
