My condolences on the gout, one of the worst afflictions known to man. Natural/unsweetened cherry juice is my go-to remedy. At the moment I have gout. But overall, I'm pretty healthy for an old man.

More money on Marquette than UConnAny reason the line just dropped to -17.5?

It doesn't happen like that (immediate 3 pt shift) unless there's a catalyst or someone put their house on Marquette.More money on Marquette than UConn

I put my children’s college fund on Marquette about 34 minutes agoIt doesn't happen like that (immediate 3 pt shift) unless there's a catalyst or someone put their house on Marquette.

Being extremely careful I'm guessing. I hope all of this being cautious with injuries pays off in February and March.Jayden Ross — OUT

Nah, try eating too much venison! Hillbilly’s disease.Ahhhh, the Rich Man's Disease.
I've already posted that the line does not immediately shift 3 pts without a catalyst. To rationalize it otherwise is nonsense. I do A LOT of betting. It has to be because of Jayden Ross.Swami's "inverse expectation" (or something like that). Too much money has been on the over, so the line has dropped to balance the bets.

Not sure a starter being ruled out would move the spread 3 points much less the 8th man.I've already posted that the line does not immediately shift 3 pts without a catalyst. To rationalize it otherwise is nonsense. I do A LOT of betting. It has to be because of Jayden Ross.
The market (read: syndicates) have been extremely sharp to shooting regression this season. UConn's 3pt defense and Marquette's offense are both due for some regression. A mid teens win seems the most likely outcome.Any reason the line just dropped to -17.5?

I don't disagree and am a little surprised. However, with a large spread the impact can be greater. If the spread was say -6.5 it would only go to -5.5 unless it was the top scorer. Perhaps someone on Marquette was questionable and is now playing? But it seems like their roster was healthy their last game. Not sure a starter being ruled out would move the spread 3 points much less the 8th man.
How so?lol, apparently you didn't make it past 101.
Marquette's health situation hasn't changed the past few days... that said, the line I've been seeing the past few days hasn't moved the 2-3 points that you're seeing. So, might be betting company related as opposed to something more universal.I don't disagree and am a little surprised. However, with a large spread the impact can be greater. Tbh, I think it went from -20.5 to -19.5 over night. And then just dropped 2 more pts suddenly.
If it really was a shift in sentiment it would've happened more gradually and the algorithm would've been fired. There's no collective mind that all decides to randomly pile on Marquette at 10 am, lol.
Yeah, I'm seeing draftkings, looks like everyone else has -18/18.5. Action Network actually says it opened at -22.5. I'm reminded that when my mother was my current age, first thing she'd read in the paper was the obits. Is every one healthy today?
My shoulder is a little sore, but otherwise I'm fine. Thanks for asking!
