OT: Iron Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

If Tyson doesn't knock him out in the first minute, Paul is gonna wipe the floor with him. Tyson's just a few years shy of being able to collect social security.
 
Tyson seemed to have zero power when he fought the exhibition against Roy Jones years ago. Although physically he looked fantastic, quick, strong etc.

Hopefully this isn't the case and he catches Paul clean.

Scripted clown show. Jake Paul is on roids, 2 minute rounds, 8 rounds, 14 oz. gloves. I'm sure Tyson agreed not to knock him out so he collects all his money.

I wasn't going to watch the July PPV, but since it's on Netflix today, and not extra fees needed so will watch even if scripted....

One giant con job. Paul will probably fight a retired hockey goon next. Even when he fought MMA guys they were mostly wrestlers that were not known for their striking. Dude will fight anyone but an actual professional boxer that isn't an old tomato can.
 
Since it's not pay-per-view, what have we got to lose?
Any know anything about the undercard?
 
More like WWE than boxing. Supposedly Paul is guaranteed to win via the contract.

He's just not on that level. I watched the highlights. He'd be a fine ammy or a low-level pro. One of the guys fighting in front of a crowd of 50 and making 300 bucks a night like I did.

His technique and conditioning aren't clean enough to be what the talking heads like to say.

Honestly? I think youth wins out tonight if the fight is real. I think all the drugs have probably caught up with Iron Mike. I don't think the conditioning and reflex is still there even if the heart is.
 
Hopefully fight will entertain. It’s obviously not like the old pay per view fights back in the day. But heading my buddies house to sip a few and hopefully get entertained. It’s on Netflix so if it sucks or is staged , who cares. Hope iron Mike drops him

Oh he is definitely not on that level which is why it's such a scam job. He fights big name has beens or basically anyone that is not too much of a threat to keep the con alive. Can't blame the guy. It's easy money. Fools keep watching. America.
 
If your life leads you to a point where you are in front of a TV tonight at 8pm EST, there isn't a better choice for watching.
Is it like rubbernecking at a crash on the other side of a highway? Sure. But it feels good.
I bet a friend and picked Tyson. I read the news too quick and thought he was facing RuPaul, not Jake Paul. What a stupid I am.

Fighting tomato cans worked out well for Rocky. He still has a statue and hundreds of people runs stairs every day to emulate him.

Isn't this thing actually sanctioned by the state of TX? If so, they can't play around with a scripted act without bringing in the Feds.
 
Kevin McBride made Tyson quit 20+ years ago.
I hope Tyson elbows, headbutts, and tries to break Jake Paul's arms.

What do you think happens?

There’s no other way Mike Tyson would get a 20m payday for one nights work other than that.
