Some suggestions that the issue is more about E. Rodriguez feeling light in the wallet than suffering in the low back. Will be interesting to see if she plays another tick for Iowa.

I doubt she will. Probably go for a red shirt and move on. Really have been rooting for her to get better so to speak and play again for the Hawks.
 
Rodriguez is at least back on the bench (street clothes) and traveling with the team. She seems quite engaged during the games now.
Zero word on what the situation is; maybe a journalist will pose that question at the next press conference. I wonder if they came to some kind of agreement: continue to be a member of the team and act like you're happy to be here, you'll get your money, and you can redshirt so you don't lose a year of eligibility. You can move on after the season and we'll retain our reputation of having a great culture. The injury thing is way too mysterious for me. Please understand every word of this post is 100% my uninformed opinion.

If true that would a good solution to a lose-lose she may have put herself and the school into. For fan speculation that's a pretty good one and seems very plausible in part. Downside is she will need to present evidence of injury, inability to play and treatment plan etc from medical peeps to get a redshirt.

Maybe there's a local doc to diagnose 'light in the wallet'. It's known to cause an imbalance in the hips.
 
Channel flipped into the Iowa game and got to see Addie Deal finally having the sort of game Iowa fans might have anticipated more of. She has to have been a little frustrated so that had to be a big relief to her to have a hot hand and get that post-game interview courtside.

Interesting game from Stuekle, bricking free-throws and close shots yet making some nice mid-range jumpers and dropping eight assists. Flirted with triple double territory.

Iowa could play well and lose their next 5 games: Mich St, @ Maryland, Ohio St, @USC and @UCLA. Continued contributions from Deal will be treasured.

Hoping my hometown Gophers don't dig themselves into too big of a hole in the standings since 5 of their final 7 games are against currently ranked teams.
 
Just being in the Big 10 means you get overated, how bad is Ohio State? They even make Iowa look good.

Huh???? Ohio State's three losses this season have been to teams in the top 10. They also hung tight and beat TCU, who was undefeated if I recall correctly. Which team have you been watching?

Secondly, how is being in the BIG10 equate to being overrated when you see the wins teams in this conference have had over others in the AP 25?

You mean the same poser Ohio State and Iowa teams the Huskies beat decisively in the non-conference season to build up the Huskies’ non-conference SOS? Include posers USC and Notre Dame as well. B1G member Michigan must be overrated too….

I feel so honored to be able to witness UConn's upcoming history-making 40 ppg waltz thru March Madness. Will be simply legendary.
 
This is a dangerous team. I do not want to see them in March/April. They are a bona fide Big Ten title contender. And for as much as UCLA has been a dominant force in Big Ten play, Iowa seems uniquely constructed to give them fits and maybe take them down in Indy.

Does the McCabe injury impact what going one with Emely Rodriguez at all? Haven't heard any scuttlebutt about her in a few weeks. Seems the understanding of fans seemed to run towards her just stilling out the rest of the year as "injured" and transferring again.
 
Not like I had not noticed her before the game last night but Journey Houston is going to be a really good player for you guys. Maybe went too much under the radar to the hype over Deal, and maybe her injury setting her back some in HS, but she's looking like a steal of a recruit right now.
