Instilling Panic and Fear

I was under the impression we were talking individuals, not a team, and at this present moment. I can see Blanca developing and it is a pleasant thing to see. But, at this moment, there is no big individual three. Maybe, if she can continue to score as she did against USC, Shade could be the third person.
I think sometimes we get off on tangents. Is it really an advantage to have a so called Big 3? What about a big 7 or big 8? In other words, all the key players on the floor confident and comfortable taking open shots with obviously our best players being Sarah and Azzi. I think Geno was just referring to last year's team having three legit stars and that logically they would take the bulk of the shots. Ugh- somebody today mentioned LSU as having a Big 3. (sound in the background of me gagging)

Parity is collegiate basketball is a strawman discussion.

Athletes ability to transfer every year is in my opinion may create parity between the top 4-5 programs only and at the same time reduce teams ability to even be competitive because after a year or two it’s likely their best player will be transferring out.

This is just one of many idea that would make it better. 1 non penalty transfer and automatic non-appealable sitting out a year their after.

To me Ash is the player that breaks a teams heart. 1st 2nd 3rd option is contained and the ball hits her hands and splash or she flashes to the basket for a layup.

Has some appeal, but then we get into what if her coach leaves and red shirt injury and there may be others that tug at our hearts..

She has to get her 3 pt.shooting up.She's only shooting .349 % which is average compared to last year when she shot .411% which was great

+1. Tony's post got nit-picked. Nit-picking is fine. But then it went off on its own tangent that didn't need to be. Just because last year's team had a defined Big 3 late, it doesn't mean that every team every year must have it.

are you saying being fearful and panicked are the only ways to break a foe's will? if so, i disagree.

that may be preferred, even inevitable, in war, but is not needed in a basketball game. it is overkill there. fear and panic are not needed (and IMO despicable) to break a team's will in a playground game.

may be semantics to some. but i see it as a variance in outlook and attitude. i see one as dark, if not evil. i highly doubt geno et.al would encourage it.
I think you @PacoSwede are overlooking that your play may well break the other team's will, but have no moral necessity to put the third sting in with instructions to lay off. I want to say UConn broke two teams in the NCAA's: UCLA and South Carolina fear and panic no; just the edge the wind out of their sails.

Since the first three games she’s shooting 0.451.
You are so right and Ash's 10-15 ft shooting is also on the rise. Relying on small sample sizes is just silly. For example, SS's last few games 3 pt shooting. Heck, her most recent results show she has lost her touch completely from deep. Her USC game %'s (25% -1 of 4) make it clear she is no longer a NPOY candidate! Sarcasm intended.

I am the one who stated that LSU has a big three.
