Ines played well and looked confident in her play. The Stanford game, it was expected that she would struggle. The whole team struggled but it was nice to see Ines play well against Wyoming.Ines led the Zags in scoring with 16 points as they beat Wyoming 62-51 in Spokane. She went 5-10, 2-3 from 3, 4-5 from the line, all 4 makes were in the last minute and 17 seconds of the game.
Why can't we get kids like that?In tonight's season opener, Gonzaga beat Montana 82-69 and Ines Bettencourt played 33 minutes and scored 16 points with 5 assists, 2 steals and just 2 turnovers. Great start! Many of their games on shown live on ESPN+.
Ines look so comfortable out there! She played solid. I just love how she is leading the offense.Ines scored 14 points with going 5-11 and 4-8 from 3pt land with 4 steals and 2 blocks in 29 minutes of play in Gonzaga's 81-68 win over New Mexico. She unfortunately had 4 turnovers also.
I've been following both INES and Hana.... some great story lines there. TransferringI think Ines is in the right place for her. Ive watched a few games and I believe she made a good choice.
I also have been following Hana Muhl and shes looking pretty good too at times. Both are very good players but at the same time neither play at the level needed to get much court time at UCONN.
Ines has been pretty impressive playing for Gonzaga. She hit a nice coast to coast, finish at the buzzer, shot against Missouri State. I am impressed with her handles, especially when teams press Gonzaga. Ines seems to handle the press well. I guess the West Coast pressure defense ain't the same as the East Coast pressure defense.Ines only played 26 minutes in the Zags 65-64 loss to Missouri State. She scored 12 points going 6-11 and 0-1 on 3 pt shots, 2 rbds, 2 stls, 1 t/o and 4 fouls. They lost on a made foul shot with only 2 seconds left. They play Texas Tech today.

For all the folks who said Ines couldn't handle defensive pressure. The 3 young ladies at Maryland, Saylor, Mir and Amari average a combined 47.5 minutes of play while Ines averages 30.7, they have a total of 90 points with a game average of 15.4 points. While Ines has 77 points and a game average of 11 points.Ines has been pretty impressive playing for Gonzaga. She hit a nice coast to coast, finish at the buzzer, shot against Missouri State. The move worked out well for Ines. She is now playing against competition that is more her level. Also, at UConn there weren’t any minutes available for her to play. Just to many players in front of her. Glad it worked out for her.Ines has been pretty impressive playing for Gonzaga. She hit a nice coast to coast, finish at the buzzer, shot against Missouri State. Rough start to the season for the Zags. Probably already at the point that an at large bid is out of the question, so it's win their conference tourney or miss the Big Dance.Ines had her worst game of the season while the Zags lost to Texas Tech 67-49. She shot 1-5, 0-3 from 3pt shots. Having 2 pts, 2 rbds, 2 ast, 3 stls, 3 to's and 2 fouls in 24 minutes. They play their third game in three days against Florida State.
You’re calling it after 8 games?Rough start to the season for the Zags. Probably already at the point that an at large bid is out of the question, so it's win their conference tourney or miss the Big Dance.
Yes. They have to get their resume wins before they get to conference play, WCC foes don't help much. Beating Florida St. today would help, but they would need more than that, and there just isn't much left on their schedule that could move the needle. You’re calling it after 8 games?
A test case of how meaningless individual stats are. While it's difficult to directly compare Ines' stats to Chen due to Gonzaga having played 9 games while UConn has only played 6, here they are anyway. So far Ines compares favorably against Chen when it comes to scoring.
