I’m a “on the bench” consultant bleeding money but soon I’ll be working and getting money back flowing again. The wife wants me to go - two kids want to go - Indy is only a 5 hr drive for me.

But I’m being responsible during this difficult time. I attended the 24 chip in Glendale and crossed off a “see UConn win the championship live” off my bucket list.

Maybeee … semi finals only tickets … AITA for turning this down 😂

Thoughts? Who else is going?

I'm definitely going too. This will be the 7th UConn final(I just missed the first one which ironically the closest to me) for my brother and I. I will be driving up from Atlanta so a 7-8 hour drive but doable.

In plus 2. Flying into Chicago and driving. Much cheaper flights than Indy, Cincy and Dayton. And Direct!

Doing the same. Anyone seen ticket/hotel package details yet?

I'm going - booked flight and hotel at the end of Feb (fully refundable that I wont need to do!). I think the hotel package thing is only available for the really big donors. I did that in 2014 when I think the fan base wasnt what it is now. I wasnt offered the hotel in 2024 and doubt I will this time

Any idea when UConn is going to sell the tickets? I don't see anything on their site.

I got an email last night saying there will be a window to buy tomorrow but it's based on donor level and all that stuff - they didnt give a time slot or any other info just that it's tomorrow

Going again- It's great catching up with friends we've made the past 3 trips. Tickets will be the issue giving me pause- they've progressively gotten harder to get as the donor level has increased and secondary market is nuts right now.

I wanted to get tickets a long time ago but the people I'm going with voted me down. Frustrating to me because it would've been a lot cheaper if we did it my way.

Glad you called them people and not family/friends... they dont deserve either moniker with that advice

PS I am not going... I am supporting in other ways by providing to UCONNs gofundme aka paying tuition

I want to go, I'm one year removed as a student and have never gone before. Can anyone give me useful recommendations regarding cheap flights or hotels? Aren't special packages offered? I'm not sure what I'm doing.

I'd imagine Tweed will have some special to Indy for the event?

Fly to Chicago and drive. Direct flights, more flights, cheaper flights.

Looking for a airbnb, but don't want to go in a dicey area. Any recommendations of neighborhoods/areas to look for or look to avoid?

Thank you!

Honestly, it's a 12 hour drive from CT to Indianapolis and it's not bad. I've made the drive over a dozen times from Connecticut to Chicago in one day. You just leave early in the morning and it's not bad at all. Never ran into traffic.

If you're in CT and flying out of New York it's 2 hours to drive to the airport and then flying to Chicago where you would need to rent a car and then drive another 3 hours.

plan on driving to indy from an airport other than indy and maybe leaving from Prov or another non ct airport...and prob staying 45-60 min away.

You can also book a room you can cancel and hope to get a deal as it gets closer

sometimes you can get a miles ticket last minute cheap.

We drove to Detroit and stopped on the way out. After the loss, we drove straight home.

My son and I are headed to Indy. Driving Friday from CT (12.5 hours) but we'll split the driving time between us. Not looking forward to the long drive, but I've driven straight through to Florida by myself, so it can be done. We got an AirBNB just a 10 minute drive from Lucas Oil Stadium (a 13 dollar uber if we decide to uber around.) We can pack our own groceries and beer and save a ton over what we would spend at bars and restaurants if staying at a hotel, and the cheapest flights were around 800 pp round trip, so driving it is!
I made it to Houston with him a few years ago, and I made the Phoenix trip with a buddy 2 years ago, so I'm pretty sure I'm a good luck charm and just HAVE to go to Indy now. It's nice to be retired. See you in Indy! Go Huskies!

Might be tough for me to swing the semi, and have 2 months of travel booked this year already. But strongly considering the final if we get there - tickets should tank, especially if Zona wins. Right now I think tickets are insane because of Michigan and Illinois fans

Have been in 2014 and 2024, but my wife has never experienced a F4 with me, so that’s driving it

I live two hours away so I'll be there, just need to get two tickets. I assume prices will drop as we get closer to Saturday.

Ive usually had connections to these games but not anymore. What is best way to buy that wont make me have to put my kids on the macaroni diet? Id just need 1 ticket

Flight is booked and I’ll be able to get tickets through UConn no problem. Hotels appear to be the issue at this point. Anyone finding anything within a couple miles of the stadium that isn’t sold out?

Can’t go this time. Lucky enough to attend 2014 and 24.

However, can any of you twitter specialist get a thought out to Dave Benedict.

Any chance on a go fund me that people can donate to for getting students to the game. Always disappointing to see our student section compared to others. @Storrs South

100% go.....I went fore first time in 2024 in Pheonix and it was one the best sports experiences ever.

I am a season ticket holder but not a big donor. If I remember correctly, they offered us (season ticket holders) the opportunity to buy tickets in 2023 (Houston) but they did not in 2024 (Phoenix). Am I remembering that correctly? I would only go if I can buy tickets through the school. And around when will we know if we can buy tickets?
