Have to love a guy cashing his state checks regularly and waiting for his state pension to kick in to trash the state u.

Any high school football coach who has the interest of his players at heart would want to maintain and good and positive dialogue with State U. An over-sized ego might blur that very sound thinking.

I think some of these guys blow way to much hot air at some kids who would be very well served getting guidance about what is in their long-term best interest as opposed to getting an ego boost from going to football factories.

Marenelli and the others will come around once they see UConn winning bowl games. You can't blame a coach for steering a kid towards his best opportunity and when UConn is that these guys will be on the band wagon. But..... the guy, as do all of us fans, needs to give Diaco and his staff as much support as possible right now. We're all Connecticut here and we need to work towards a common goal, make all of Connecticut football relevant on a national level.

It's going to be very interesting to see how this program evolves over the next couple of seasons.
Some of the unexpected transfers and now McCombs departing hopefully signals a change towards a more professional approach by the players and staff. It has definitely tweaked my curiosity. Personally the one thing that bothered me more than anything the last three years was the offensive tempo. Too much time to get the next play called, too many delay penalties, just not enough smooth offensive flow from play to play. Really bothered me seeing them gain 5 or 6 yards on first down and then take forever to get the next play started.

Not to be annoying but did you not realize the thread directly below this one is 2 days old on this exact same article and has 22 responses?

PP was treated poorly.. The guy made $1.8 million and we should feel sorry for him? Make New Canaan part of NY and be done with it.
