The guys on Sportscenter were just talking about the BC v. Clemson game in Chestnut Hill, and they remarked how difficult the game could be given injuries and the weather, and the fact they will be "playing in front of 13,000 people", with a bunch of laughs from the crew.

The post is not meant to sh$t on BC - though an added bonus - rather to reflect on the uphill battle it is to play football in the northeast. Everyone knows that most fans in the northeast have this aversion to being associated with the smalltime, and it is clear based upon the reaction of the SC crew that NE (sans PSU) football is a smalltime source of laughter for the rest of the nation. Sadly, I think that CT is in the best position to get beyond the smalltime - but may never get the chance.

Well... By the looks of the parking lots - we'll have we'll above 13k and we're playing Buffalo!

How far they have fallen

Cut BC some slack - they're a hockey school.

i was considering going to the bc game today, probably couldve scalped a ticket for $10 without much effort.

Just turned it on, average crowd size, lots and lots of clemson fans. i saw them around town here on thursday.

The Rent crowd today was bigger than I would have predicted. Looks like over 25K, near 30.

It's Parents Weekend at BC. Would think that would help attendance, but 3:30 is not the best time for a Parents Weekend game.

.-.
More than 25K there, probably a bit over 30K. Students aren't filled. That's weird, they usually show up there regardless.

I couldn't talk scalpels down below $20 today, that wasn't a horrible crowd. Shit game though.

Uconn crowd looked about 33K to me. We were at about 80% full . . . .

And btw, BC is playing Clemson even. They look like a college football team. We don't have a lot to talk about when it comes to BC.

What is the point of replay? They blow a call on a clear Clemson TD. Go to replay and confirm the missed call.

Absolutely. That was a touch. If you can't see that, you shouldn't be in the replay booth.

Yes we do, we've defeated an FBS team recently.

BC should know better than to schedule a home game during the height of apple picking season.

glad you decided to read a uconn message board after your game.

It's like the creepy guy who has been staring in our window pokes his head in to ask why we're obsessed with him.
