I think Zona's guard would give us a REALLY hard time about now.
In seriousness, while I did not expect this to happen, I have consistently said all year long that while we can play poorly, we can also beat any team any day of the week when we play well. Not really going out on a limb there given who we did beat this season. The funny thing is we can apparently beat any team without playing all that well offensively.
Kenny Smith made some great points about the UConn system. The staff knows who to go after and how to coach them up. And our teams are clutch. I once heard someone explain that being clutch doesn't mean you play better under pressure; it means you keep playing your game when others wilt under the pressure.
Say what you want about some of his boneheaded plays or bad misses or matador defense but the kid gives 110% every game and I’ve noticed he’s always bringing energy and celebrating the team’s success when he’s on the bench even having a bad game. Says a lot about the kidHe made some bonehead plays, but Solo's shots were huge, lucky rolls or not. I feel for him. That wrist injury clearly screwed his shot up. You can't really say he doesn't try hard. He wants so bad to contribute and I think the shooting percentage comes back up after a full recovery.
It’s called cupping, to increase blood flow in those areas. I just had one done at PT for a pinched nerve.17-1 in March, the last four years, one more to go.
13-1 Final four all-time.
This team guts it out.
(What's with the circles on everyone's arms? Maybe I missed it.
I would hope so welcomeBeau Archibald?
Really.
Next thing we'll see Ajou Deng, Ater Majok, or Nate Miles...........joking 😉
We played quite well in game 2 against St. John's, but I know what you mean.In a complimentary way, I still don't think we've played our best ball.
I would be more worried about Cadeau. I have to say neither MSU - so sorry I mean Big Blue looks so much better than ASUYeah, probably, we just played a whole game. Guys are tired.
We definitely have notIn a complimentary way, I still don't think we've played our best ball.
That call pissed me offWhat type of foul was this on Silas? A Neck-to-the-hand?

You guys know more about basketball than I do, but I used to think the guy grabbing the neck was the fouler.
And these were two things that made the close games and late losses so terrifying.4 Turnovers and 15-17 from the line
Just as we like itPre-game broadcast was pretty shocking as it focused almost exclusively on the Zona-Mich game, but when they did talk about UConn-Illinois, the focus was 75% on Illinois.
UConn is not getting very much respect at all.

Cheapest I can find is United from Newark to Cleveland tomorrow at 2:47pm arriving in Cleveland at 4:35pm. Returning from Cleveland on Tuesday at 12:40pm arriving in Newark 2:12pm. Takes about 16 hours of driving out of your life, airfare is $353 for basic economy.CT. Middletown
That's a shame...
They've done that all season. Ball is really bad at that. Think it was a 3 on 1 (or 2?) where Ball took it to the hoop and missed when he had a teammate or 2 open for an easy layup. But tough to complain about anything tonight. One more win.And our offense on the break a couple of times we had numbers and guys didn’t give it up for the easy two and instead took a challenged shot.
And 6 more 3’sAnd these were two things that made the close games and late losses so terrifying.
