Did not think there was any chance they would come back and win that game. They absolutely sleep-walked through that first half. Have to say I love me some Christian Vital though. That guy is tough. And Jalen did what he needs to do as much of as possible. Big win and I'm very happy to look like an idiot for assuming it was over. (That said, I never turned it off).

They don't really sleepwalk, they just meltdown on offense and become spectators on defense. If they're lucky, it's only 9-0, 12-0 type of run. If they're not, it's 26-5 or whatever SMU or Cincy feels like.
It's happened in almost every game, even in wins. It straight cost them a couple of wins - Tulsa, Georgetown, etc.
It's been an issue for a few years - I hope they solve it.
Vital has been a great get. He was a three-star recruit who should retroactively get a fourth star - I've seen Temple Gibbs play on a couple of occasions and Vital doesn't give up much if anything there.
