If you could be the coach...

I wouldn't put it past the owners of these teams to hire a member of the boneyard to coach.
Send in your resumes ASAP.

Maybe they will be impressed by the screen names with the pictures of predatory animals and imposing wrestler lookalikes.

And yes, it will be like hiring an outsider except if they hire a BY "insider."

As crazy as it sounds I would take the UConn football job.

The program is already at rock bottom and I still think there's a lot of potential. If you turn around this program it would open a lot of doors going forward.

More glory if you bring UConn football to greatness. The other jobs are too easy for me.

Knicks by a mile.

  • Coaching usually means next to jack in the NBA
  • Get to travel to several cities
  • Get to not be blamed for anything because the organization is a train wreck
  • Make some cash
  • Basketball>football
  • Probably only have to do it for like 8 months before getting inevitably fired

I'd coach the Knicks because I hate both New Jersey football teams and I like basketball much more than football, especially if I'm the coach.

UConn would be my 2nd choice: Less pressure, cool Nike gear.

Knicks. You're going to get -canned sooner or later from any one of those gigs. Might as well make a few milly to sit courtside at the Garden. And if by some fluke you make the Knicks relevant again? Win-win.

I was just typing pretty much this exact response. Coaching pro basketball at the Garden would be insanely cool. And if it goes poorly...well, that’s sort of the expectation right? Parlay it into a college job.

The “millions of dollars a year” thing makes all of these jobs attractive from my vantage point...

Which team would you like to coach if there was a vacancy? And why?

Jets
Giants
Knicks
UConn Football
Football hands down. The Jets and Giants have dysfunctional front offices and I'm not really a fan of the NBA

Who are you kidding? You're just looking for a way to get back into MSG after being escorted out by security.

Giants for sure, most stable situation out of that. I’d take any job over UConn football, doesn’t pay that much. Joe Judge just got a 5 year contract at $5 mill/year. Thibs just got one for about the same with the Knicks. We’re the Jets smart, they would’ve hired Matt Rhule when they had the chance and he would’ve cost prolly more than that. The Jets will probably have to pay someone more than $6 mill per year to pair with Trevor. Give me the pro sports team all day, set for life when you get canned.

Good point 2-3 winners your good
4-5 wins your great
6 or more and your HOF
I never coached football but I like the low bar at UConn

1. Knicks
2. Uconn fball
3. Jets
4. Giants (Im a Patriots fan)

It could lead to your dream job at Maryland
A lateral hire to wade in another mire.
See their record over the last few years.

As far as turning any of these teams around no question its Uconn football.

To answer the question the Knicks. NBA coach while I'm sure can be stressful not nearly as much as an NFL coach, and a bit easier with your health. Football coach is a 24/7 job. I could get an inside look at how dysfunctional the Knicks are, if I get fired I can come up with dirt on Dolan, and be some what of a sympathetic figure to the general fan. Im sure I would make the most $ coaching the Knicks. Dolan doesn't even care about winning as it is he just wants to sell tickets thats it. He is but buddies with Isaiah still and I have no doubt he still is working with the Knicks behind the scenes.

Coach? None of them. Being the GM of the Jets, Giants, or Knicks sounds great. It can't be that hard to be better than Dave Gettleman or Mike Maccagnan or Steve Mills.

For the Knicks you could suck and still get money from Dolan. Isiah still works behind the scenes for Dolan, Steve Mills was there for how long, finally got let go but I have no doubt he still works for Dolan is some capacity.

Nobody wants to accept a challenge and coach the Jets?

Win 3 games and get the keys to the city: the City of Camden or the City of East Rutherford.

After Gase is dumped , and if Trevor Lawrence doesn't decide to stay in school (why would he do that because the Jets could get the first pick the following season), it would be interesting to see how the Jets would fare. They still would stink, but maybe not as much as the dead animals in some of the BY'ers homes.

The good news is that with the Jets, you can identify the source of the smell, and don't need a long snake and a scoping camera.
