That loss was on Blaney. AO went out for Tyler when we were up 12. He didn't get back in until we were two possessions down. Tyler stayed in too long, and then he tried Roscoe. That was the single biggest factor in the loss. Although goodness knows there were others.

And it's fitting our season may have ended with what may be the most ridiculous technical foul call I think I've ever seen.

That loss was on Jeremy Lamb putting up a stinker and the defense being non-existent for most of the game. Lamb has about a 0% chance of being a first round pick, so at least we'll have him back next season.

Yup, Blaney should never be JC's backup again. It is a failed experiment. Miller and Hobbs are both better options, KO need not enter the conversation if you wish.

The loss is completely on George Blaney he was awful. He possibly cost us our season. How many possessions in a row did Giffey lose his man on the 3 before he decides to take him out. He waited way too long to call a timeout during their big run. And the worst was when Providence turned the ball over, giving UConn another chance, and he decides not to call a timeout (2 left) to design a play. Instead with 26 sec left UConn his throwing up ridiculous contested off balance threes. Terrible job George.

Bunch of underachievers on this team with a old, demented fart as its coach. Blaney was more focused on bingo at the senior center later than this game. JC needs to be back.

It wasn't that Tyler did anything wrong. It was that we were playing really well and we went too deep in the bench. If we were going to blow our chance to defend our championship right there, it needed to be with our captain, and the key behind Kemba to getting it last year, on the floor.

You're clearly not a basketball talent evaluator.

Totally agreed. The lack of a timeout or just Alex back in the game is just baffling.

Excellent point and one I completely agree with and questioned what George was doing during the game. We held off Providence on the boards with Drummond and Oriakhi and it was highly confusing why George didnt' put in Alex when we began to lose the rebounding battle. The main problem is this team can't put a full game together, for the most part we played a solid game for a while it looked like our most complete game of the season. But, the theme of the season has been our mental lapses where we are on the wrong end of a big run, it happened tonight and cost us. Drummond was doing a great job hedging on screens for PC's guards for most of the game but during the run by PC there were two situations on Cotton's threes Drummond was letting hedging to take away the shot. In the end ya it has been a dissapointing year, but sometimes things don't click with a team and it seems we may just be a little young and not clicking this season. Nobody should be throwing these kids under the bus for the most part they played hard, we've got atleast 2 games left in the season lets make the most of them.

They play hard down 7 with 2 minutes left a lot. Other than that not sure what you've been watching.

If Calhoun wants to continue coaching he needs to make a committment to replace Blaney with someone who has a chance to coach when he is done. As things turned out we would have been no worse off with Hobbs coaching. That said, this season is on the players. They keep waiting for the other team to quit and in the process, they quit themselves.

Your right they weren't playing hard when they were up 14 and the whole first half, I never said they've played hard every game this season talking about this game.

Sorry alex did nothing on the boards yet again........he had THREE rebounds in 20 minutes and a couple layups that any of us could have made....this is not on Tyler, Giffey or if it is it's on Alex and Roscoe also..............they don't rebound......Roscoe for all of his passion had 1 board, yeah 1 and Batts ate him up keeping the ball alive all game......noone rebounds, noone boxes out and that's where you lose the game....Andre had 12 boards he did his job to a point...........

Rebounding and the statue on the sideline who was outcoached dramatically in the last 12 minutes by a guy with divots in his head.....(by the way I like Cooley and congrats to him, they played hard in the last 12 but we handed it to him on a silver platter)

Don't forget, everything about UConn and its players right now is terrible. They never give effort. Just disregard the facts so you can spout your entitled opinions.

Poor George - he goes out as an assistant coach part of a staff that won 2 NC's, but is now a guy who as the front man is only perceived as a giant loser and wished away by most that follow this program. Some guys just weren't mean to be lead singers and better as the bass guy.

Taking out AO for as long as he did was a horrible coaching move.

Blaney fades at the end of halfs. Tyler has very, very poor -/+numbers in the Big East. The lead slips away or the deficit increases dramatically.
