Forget the 18 points, because Cuse fans were worried right to the 4 minute mark, and that means we basically played even with them until that point, and that was with a ton of bunnies missed, Drummond out and Oriachi on the bench for the whole first half. Step forward.

I liked what I saw as well and I saw exactly what you did. For me it was tremendous that we were able to get the ball inside the zone with good looks at the basket from pretty close. The first half of last season and virtually all of this one we have struggled against the zone. We did not today, but we just missed too many easy shots.

We did not lose this game. Syracuse won it. They are a better team than we are.

They're better, but UConn's closer than the score indicates and what I thought going in.

Good thread guys......that team today could easily go 4-2 the last 6 games so hope they bring it........strong finish would be fun at this point!!

Seriously.
We were about 5 boneheaded plays away from winning this game. Just a few too many turnovers with no pressure. For example, Roscoe turning it over from the corner with a horrid, soft pass to the point. Turns into a layup w/foul for 3. Just a terrible play.
Another. Shabazz tries an ankle-high skip pass through 3 Syr. guys to Drummond. Terrible decision.
Lamb. In traffic, Syr. guys on each side. Giffey standing 5' away at the 3. Lamb looks, looks away, then travels.
About 10-15 boneheaded plays in all.

Get rid of those.

And we win it all.

They really need to get away from letting the defender pass them, and then trying to poke the ball away from behind. Shabazz does this far too much (I still have flashbacks of Siva last year), but Boatright did it a couple of times this year.
