I Hope BS doesn't bail, although with new family, HCBD returning(?), degree in hand, I would certainly understand. AAAAH, longing for the days of an injury free BS, 2nd half Navy game. (I mean that with no sarcasm.)
DW-We all get it, thrown to the wolves, 4 days, new OC, poor line play, poor coaching, etc., etc., etc.
BUT..., to my eyes, the kid "Doesn't have "IT". That QB, experienced or not, comes in with the self confidence, doesn't doubt himself, carries himself in that top of the line "QB Way"., his body language as a poster noted-rally your boys keep fighting! You are the leader. Anyone who's been around FB playing or seriously "seeing" as most on this board know, knows... It's way early, true, but BS may just well be our best QB option in'17. Maybe allow Tyler Davis back in the rotation in Spring. He's a sleeper I think.

When did he become Tom Brady, he was terrible when he played.

Pitt's offense put up 76 on Syracuse. VT 52 on UVA

Unfortunately as of now, he's far and away our best option for next season. That being said, there's no chance he comes back

I never said he was "Tom Brady", just when healthy he may be our best option next year. I won't disrespect him, but I realize he wouldn't be our ideal by far.

When are you going to "get" that you were wrong? Sometimes when you think things can't get any worse, they actually can? Did you read the article about how BS played with a displaced rib from the Virginia game onwards?

A healthy BS is better than Donovan Williams by a mile right now.

I agree he's better, but he's awful. Just trying to find a QB, but this team would be lousy with BS and no Thomas.

Any QB needs good receivers. To be honest, while Thomas has been wonderful for us, he isn't a separation kind of guy - he is rarely wide open but rather he can make great catches in traffic. Still requires a good throw.

BS was able to make a decent number of those throws and Williams hasn't been able to so far and has in fact made some incredibly horrific decisions and throws. I hope to hell he improves a ton next year because this three game stretch has truly made me as apathetic as I've ever been since I became a fan.

I give Bryant a lot of credit.

Had Diaco allowed me to take that beating all season and then pull the plug on me for Williams I would have been arrested for attempting to choke him to death.

That Sherriffs stood on the sideline and watched the trainwreck over the last three weeks without flinging his helmet on the field and tossing his uniform off on his way to the locker room is impressive.

He's gone and if I were him, I would leave too. Playing FCS football is much more appealing than backing up at UConn in this offense under Diaco's regime.

He can actually transfer to an FBS school is one were to want him.

If he's smart, he stays while getting healthy and earning a UCONN degree. He already has a family to think about and he's not playing FB for a living.

I don't blame him for this season. The young man is a warrior and has more than earned my respect.

He can graduate with a UConn degree this year AND transfer someplace else. You realize that, right?

I would welcome him back but whats the point. I feel badly for him he wasn't very good but he was the best qb we have had since Zach Frazer and Casey Cochrane till he got injured, its a scary thought of where Uconn would be without him possibly a winless team for 2 years.

He is gone for sure, graduates in may and can transfer and play immediately. The announcers were starting to throw him under the bus towards the end of the game saying "there were some whispers that he never bought into the program and wasn't the right fit here." it actually really pissed me off, say what you want about his skill set but that kid played his absolute heart out for this team every time he set foot on that field. sacrificing his body on almost every play, that USF game was hard to watch. for HCBD to "in less words" according to the broadcasters say that he wasnt his guy bothered me more than anything he has done so far, players follow leadership and toughness, that I can promise you and when you undermine that leader to save you own ass it is a sure fire way to lose a locker room. the cracks started last yr after the Marshall game with thomas calling out the coaching staff on twitter and i think it will continue if not get worse until he is fired. its unfortunate that we want/ need to remove a coach from his position but due to lack of funds cannot. that is indeed a recipe for disaster.

I am no longer going to tolerate QB discussions with anyone who doesn't read and comprehend this chart. While BS isn't playing on Sundays or winning all-conference honors, he remains one of the better QB's that UConn has ever put on the field. You'll have to scroll down to find Diaco's wunderkind.

What's a done deal? BS leaving or coming back?

I would bet heavily on him not returning. He's graduating, was hurt pretty badly, is married, so why would he return to this mess?

He was good at times. His injury explains a lot. It makes sense that he struggled after being on fire at times the first few games. I want him to come back healthy and start......under a new coach.

Yes, but why take a risk at taking more potentially dangerous hits in a sport you've reached your peak? He's married, with child on the way. You realize that, right?

UConn Football Insider: After Many Hits, Shirreffs OK With Backup Role; Focus Now On Fatherhood

How nice of you to 1: Make health decisions for him, something you are totally unqualified to do, and 2: decide his abilities have peaked. Because after all, no QBs get better between their Junior and Senior years. You sir, are a moron.
