As the commentators who were setting the stage for the game last night said, no team with five losses would be in the playoff. Then he went on to say the ACC had five teams who finished 6-2 in conference play, Duke had won the tiebreaker, and that Duke had lost three out of conference games. And when he listed them he deliberately garbled the name UConn. It was droll.

No way, really? It is amazing how transparent these schmucks are!

Even though Cam Ross was on Virginia I was rooting for Duke as we had beat them. Imagine if Ross had stayed and we had Bell as well. Could not believe the Duke RB did not stay inbounds on third down late. My immediate thought was all the things a coach has to worry about and how sending a freshman towards the sideline instead of up the middle must have crossed Diaz's mind for next time after that happened. The final Virginia drive in regulation was not unfamiliar being a Giants fan. On the Virginia TD at the end there was no push oob by the defender. The Virginia player went out on his own. No review. Could not believe it but ACC refs.

Actually the ACC doesn’t get a whiff of that good good northeastern hockey, BC and UConn both play hockey in the Hockey East conference.

As much as I don’t like Duke BB, for some reason I like playing them in Football.

Those were 2 epic matchups these past 2 years and fans of both teams win/lose have to think tWow hat was one heck on a football game.

It is weird to root for them -I too, was mildy rooting for them to win and yeah, it makes us look even better!

Same for me. I like Duke football. I found myself pulling for them many times.

The only reason I have a problem with Duke basketball is that they’ve had such a huge recruiting advantage over everyone else because of ESPN hyping them relentlessly for my entire life.
