There were some new ideas. Additionally, if you have cable, check with your provider to see if Peacock is part of your plan or if it is available. Keep in mind that if it is part of the plan you are already paying for, it will NOT be available through your cable box but is still a streaming channel that you need a Roku, Firestick, or Smart tv to access

When the new TV deal was announced last January/February, Peacock was having a special for $19.99 for the year and I bought it then, anticipating this season. When I have to renew, I will use this. Thank you

There are people that don’t live in or near Connecticut that can see the games now
There are people in Connecticut who can finally see them as well! Technically, I could have seen them by shelling out $275 a month for traditional cable, but that just wasn’t worth it. This is so much better and far more economical.

You need to be careful with what AI gives you. After Hidalgo's video game against Akron, I asked Google who were the top players in NCAA women's basketball this season, and among their AI-provided choices were Paige Bueckers (graduated) and Juju Watkins (injured).

I remember when the first TV came into our house and I spent the next 7 hours going batty until Wagon Train came on, so while I thank you for all that information Nan, I think I'm just beyond my expiration date on technology!

I figures it out. Lots of XFinity plans include free peacock. Of course, you have to endure endless chat time to actually access it the first time.

Are the UConn games available on a basic plan or is some sort of premium plan required?
If you subscribe on-line, you can watch all the Peacock games (7) by being subscribed between 3 periods for $11/per or $33 for all 7.
Nov. 16 gets you 2 games; Dec. 31 gets you 3; Feb. 11 gets the rest. Expect the BE tournament to be on a national channel (?).
Are 7 UConn games worth $33 (even if 6 are in the BE)? You might borrow some money from the guy paying $150/tic. to see Mich. if he has any left over.

Most streaming services and other paid electronic media won't let you renew a promotional rate, unless it's a continuous promotion for students or military for example. They'll say you have to renew at the regular retail rate. If this happens, you may be able to get a new promotional rate, if one is then being offered, by using a different email address and password.

Every single year I call Sirius to cancel because it’s $25/month. If I take the deal the computer offers, it’s $8/month. If I get a human being on the phone, it’s $5/month. The man I spoke to laughed and said, “Talk to you next year!”. It’s a game they play because enough people won’t bother to call. It can’t hurt to try

Another fan pleasing move by the admin.
Exactly! Well, except that the administration had nothing to do with it since the television deal is negotiated by the Big East. But other than that, spot on!

Haha. I've done the exact same thing with Sirius for about 10 years. They don't even bother sending me up to "my supervisor" anymore when I threaten to cancel. It costs them approximately zero to activate a satellite subscription to customers, so they are willing to negotiate.

A streaming subscription may have different costs, such as a per user fee to the internet provider. Plus, I'd be surprised if you can talk by phone to a human at Peacock. But maybe the Peacock computer will offer another promotional deal if you refuse to sign up at the retail rate. It works for my yearly promo subscriptions with the NY Times computer. It is worth a try.

I don't live near Connecticut and I can't see without paying, which I will not do. I could watch all the games before. SNY was great.

As for me, being a resident of Canada, the games are often unavailable to me. Games on FOX are not a problem because it's a channel that's available, but games on ESPN are often shown on TSN in Canada, and the entire end-of-season championship tournament is available there. For the others, I try to watch them online. This is almost always possible, but sometimes the image quality is rather poor, and they are usually available 5 or 6 hours after the end of the game. For yesterday's game, you can type into Google or any other search engine: November 16, 2025 NCAA women's basketball Ohio State vs. UConn full game. You should have at least two choices. Choose the 1:08:58 video. There are quite a few ads, but you can skip almost all of them after 5 seconds.

You don't need a promo code.

I can verify something I saw on the Boneyard a little while ago. If you enroll in the free 7 day offer and cancel before it ends, you'll get an offer for 6 months of the premium level for $2.99/mo.

This is outstanding, because the free offer did not include the live games, while the $2.99 offer does.
