I asked ChatGPT (AI) how to save money on Peacock

Yeah, every year I get the bill for over $300 for Sirius/XM. All I have to do is call and cancel, but before I can say anything else they come back with a promotional price, usually the price I've been paying the last few years.

I shake my head at all the streaming services and their price structures and enticements. For me it’s the epitome of the Wild West.

I recently signed on to YouTube TV, responding to an offer of $10/month off for the first 3 months. When I checked my account, the discount wasn’t there.

When I called customer service yesterday, I couldn’t make sense of why I wasn’t eligible for the discount, even after he tried 3 times to explain it. Nor could I understand the explanation from the supervisor - but I think mainly to get rid of me, she said she would give me a half-month for free, which is more than the original enticement

We shall see! 😀

Around 20 years ago, my wife and daughter got me a Sirius one-year subscription and the equipment to use it. This was prior to the XM merger.

After the year was up, I called to renew the service. The sales representative presented one of the best offers I have ever heard: “For $25 more, you can have a lifetime subscription.” (I think the yearly cost was about $150 at the time.)

Haven’t paid a penny since except for a small activation fee to directly enable it to work in our Rav4.

You don't need a promo code.

I can verify something I saw on the Boneyard a little while ago. If you enroll in the free 7 day offer and cancel before it ends, you'll get an offer for 6 months of the premium level for $2.99/mo.

This is outstanding, because the free offer did not include the live games, while the $2.99 offer does.
Bah, without asking me, Mrs. Skeets took out a 1 year subscription to Walmart+ for $49 for a full year. She knew I was whining about Peacock. Anyhow it comes with Peacock and we get the opportunity to switch to Paramount after the BE tournament. I suppose we've (that would be me) made worst deals.

The way she orders nonsense, sometimes from Walmart, at least it includes free shipping (I think).

My apologies. I meant to say I won't pay more. I have basic DirecTV that gets SNY. I've been reading this board for years and finally joined. Then I messed up my first post.
