This is EXCELLENT to hear... I was just watching the 2004-05 highlight video you uploaded to youtube a few months ago tcf and I had forgotten how much that team ran. It was literally 15 minutes of outlet passes and breakaway dunks.

Ollie's time from last year would have put him second in this year's run...

Has the best player ever won the run before? I like it.

Only one I can think of that might have is RIP, but I think Albert Mouring won at least once and maybe, shockingly Antric Klaiber as well?

Enoch at 23 plus stands out at his size.

And Terry Larrier @ 26 minutes is a big question mark. Dude is lean and tall, should be able to fly like the wind on 'long' distance. what the?

I'm sure its not the most competitive thing in the world

Not everybody runs 3.1 miles in 20 minutes... even athletes... You have to learn how to run that long a distance.. My daughter's learning now running cross country in HS... Don't think they do that in basketball...

That's why I'ld love to see them add something like a 100 meter race, to see who is actually the fastest. Now, sprints are something they do practice,..... That could even be added to First Night.

How about a 400 meter hurdle race? Hurts like hell, and perhaps a better view into the conditioning of players. A steady 5k race doesn't replicate the all out, start / stop, exhaustion, explosion, and timing of an actual basketball game. There are players who would be far less winded than me in a practice, whereas I can still beat a lot of those 5k times despite being years out of shape.
