>> Husky Nan! J'acuse! [contest to pick a new avitar for H.N.]

>> I can't stand that avitar. For years we had Maxine avitars and Maxine cartoons to brighten our days. Then came the rotating avitars. (I liked Xena) Now we get the eyes, THE EYES. Cold, calculating, dark, depressing. Who is it? Yoko Ono? Its sorta like big brother in the novel 1984 but not as benevolent.

>> Husky Nan needs a new Avatar! (badly) They used to be funny. Please help ... Boneyard! The winner with the best offering will receive a coveted "Husky Bronze Filligree with Gold Oak Leaf Clusters". Has not been awarded this century!

They are not even eyes, just glasses. I agree Nan needs to go back to the rotating avitars.

Pardon the interruption, but can Simone let me know the [pic/vidcodes] for this board?
Much obliged.

Who's Simone?
A bad pun on "someone." Bad enough, on this board, to be rewarded.

Stepping up as Simone, I'll answer that you don't need pic/vid codes. Look for the link (chainlink), pic (tree) and vid (film) symbols at the top right of your composition box and go from there.

As for the shades, I think they look insectile. They give me the creeps too (no reflection (!) on Nan's impression in person).

Here's my choice. (This may even be Nan in her younger days...)

Oh, Nan - the rabble is restless...might be time for "7 of 9" - because resistance is futile!! (on their part, not yours!)

That pic isn't me. My tramp stamp is much bigger.

The avatar is Trinity from The Matrix. She's a good guy although she's not afraid to kick butt when needed. GG, you may be right, though I still think 7 of 9 would be a repeat. I'll have to think about it.

Oh, didn't notice that the first 4 or 5 times I looked at the picture.

Here's Nan with her stamp....

.
That's funny - I thought it was a pic of the French sex bomb, Simone de Boudoir.

WOW! She is a fav of mine! Well Done! -- Bravo Zulu!

Nope. They're kick-butt pretty faces. As mentioned in the "upset alert" thread, nice choice, Nan.

I had Lara Croft as an avatar last year. The women I choose aren't just pretty faces...

>> You done good Husky Nan! -- I loved The Avengers T.V. show in the 1960's. Emma Peel (Dianna Rigg) wasn't just another pretty face, but an action star who pulled John Steed's (Patrick Macnee) bacon out of the fire quite a few times. She was an intelligent, stylish and assertive woman.

>> Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg, was made a Commander of the Order of the Britsh Empire (CBE) in 1988 and a Dame Commander of the British empire (DBE) in 1994.

Quite an avatar indeed!
