Just realized Ben Gordon, Caron Butler and Johnnie Selvie aren't in the Huskies of Honor, what gives? Ben is one of our best guards ever and won a ring. Caron and Selvie never got a ring but Caron is one of the best players to ever wear National flag blue and white and Selvie is arguably our best power forward ever. Hopefully something is in the works, if not UConn officials need to get on top of this injustice and fix it.

I'm sure Caron will be added shortly. I didn't realize Gordon wasn't on the list. He too, will be added shortly.
Johnny Selvie??? You must be kidding. First, he wasn't all that great. Second, he didn't exactly distinguish himself, on campus, after his eligibility expired.

.-.
Do we have any 2 year players up there?

I believe being a first team all american is a prerequisite. I don't think Ben was, although he definitely deserves his name there regardless. They should make exceptions.

Isn't El-Amin up there? To my knowledge, no publication picked him 1st team...

I think you been had

You just have to be an all American, not first team, I believe. When the lockout was going on a few years back, they were going to have Caron (maybe Ben but definitely Caron) at gampel for the Harvard game but had to cancel when the two sides agreed and they had to go back to practice. I remember this because I tickets to that game and was pretty dismayed.

Throwing a few more names out there in addition to Johnny Selvie: Ed Nelson, Marcus Cox, Travis Knight.

If Gay is there, Butler should be. Both great talents but I think Butler had a stronger 2 years with us.

Now you guys aren't being serious at all. Cup Cormier, Mike Hayes, Marcus Cox and Ed Nelson were all marginal players at best.

We're all forgetting the most honorable Husky of all time: MANDELDOVE

Heck with that how about Al Fredericks, Willie McCloud, Spider Ursery or Ray Broxton?
Spider hit that patented mid-range corner jumper when he got off the bench.
He was clutch for that NIT championship team. A Huskie sub hero.
The other guys not so much.

Here's the thing, there is only so much space on the wall. My understanding is that there is concious effort to keep two slots open for Purvis and Sam Jr.

All kidding aside, I noticed Rudy Gay up there and thought it was disgraceful without Butler and Gordon being up there.

Also a name I noticed missing that warrants consideration: Scott Burrell.
