Alex Vesia's injury opened the door for Ben to get on the roster. Vesia is a key lefty out of the bullpen, so a significant loss for the Dodgers.

Ben looked really good out there going through 3-4-5. Got away with a mistake to Alonso, but all in all looked pretty nasty. It's good to get this experience and I see no reason why he's not in LA's longterm plans. There isn't a better team out there to maximize his potential. Huge win for UConn baseball and Penders tonight!

Casparius did some quality mop up work again last night. 2IP (8th and 9th), 0 Runs, 3K, 1BB in the Dodgers 8-0 win. Great experience even if it is late inningswork in Dodger blowouts.
