Not that it is really related to your post, but the muscle/tendon/whatever it is between my thumb and index finger has been pretty sore and is a bit swollen. Has anyone had that happen/does anyone have any idea what that could be? Sorry don’t mean to derail a thread.

“He’s a marked man. He’s under the microscope. That’s a different type of mentality and mindset” Hurley said. “The edge that you’ve got to be able to bring with you every day on the practice floor, game night, where you thrive when people come after you and are trying to make a reputation off him now. What bodes well for James is that, a lot of freshmen, if they were having the same success James was having the last third of the season, they would have got caught up in it, lost their mind, stayed in the draft process or entered the draft process when they had no business entering it. Or waiting until the last second in the draft process, when they had no chance of getting drafted to begin with. I think the way James handled the end of the season, knowing that he needed to come back to mature and develop, knowing that he wasn’t ready for the NBA level and not hesitating or dragging his feet ... any time guys handle their business like that in decision-making, it shows some self-awareness and maturity.”

One thing Fishy always tells the guys, you gotta keep your hands slim.

Don’t want to say too much, but Fishy is glad that he was listened to and that the new strength coach is on board with his skinny palm plan. Pork chop palms are a thing of the past.

Is the the Chop‘t strategy?

"Uh officer I think it was second from the left on the bottom row, but it is tough to say. They all look so guilty."

Agree, Chief has been preaching this for awhile. There are many great stretches and exercises for the Achilles.
I’ve gone thru the struggle we all go thru of blocking/unblocking Chief but the reason I currently have him unblocked are for his medical and coronavirus expertise. Having said that this above statement is unequivocally false. I have personally fully ruptured my Achilles’ tendon and although there are certain exercises you can do to help alleviate Achilles tendinitis there is absolutely no specific Achilles’ tendon tear preventative measures. This was from the opinion of 5 different specialists who spent years studying medicine.

#confirmed #certified #dambreak #blaze (whatever else the current nonsensical cryptic nothing is)

Interesting that you went through 5 doctors. Was there a reason for that? Second opinions give confidence in the first but there’s something else going on with going to 5 doctors. Yet, you recommend their findings here.
Are you a prime athlete young dude or an old dude with all kinds of chronic and degenerative breakdowns? The answers are different.
At any rate, it’s not new science, my view has been standard in the sports medical community for years.
Here’s an excerpt from the Mayo Clinic.

Whenever fans are allowed back at XL Center, I just want to buy you a beer. Just to see who you actually are and to see how you would react. Purely for my own research, then I’d leave you alone.

We need sophomore Carlton but with better hands lol he drops so many passes granted AG would throw em at his knees half the time
I like Carlton but they need to show him how to JUMP ! He needs to get off his feet and stop having shorter players block his shots. He would be a much better player.

You cannot meet Chief00. Simply cannot. Special folks and casual fans simply don't mix well. Sorry.

I've been higher than him than most on here, I think he's gonna be a stud in time and will contribute right away.
He's still growing into his body..He's not even 18 yet.. Give him some practice time with our Bigs and strength/conditioning work with our new strength coach.. He's going to be a "handful" for the Bigs in the BE.. IMO..Will be a significant player for us.. Hoping his play dictates minutes in YR1

Tyrese Martin, who transferred form Rhode Island, is still pursing a waiver from the NCAA that would allow him to play in 2020-21. Martin and UConn have done the necessary paper work, but with so much unresolved with fall sports due to the pandemic, Hurley was not expecting a decision from the NCAA soon.

For those without Courant access (Does everyone know how to do this on their own now?): UConn’s James Bouknight now ‘a marked man,’ and other items from Dan Hurley Zoom call

The quote posted earlier about Javonte Brown Ferguson from Amore was kind of misleading. Not as positive of an assessment as I thought it was initially. Sounds like Hurley is hedging his bets regarding immediate availability for playing time to me.

“He’s exactly what we hoped he’d be,” Hurley said, “a 7-footer with some really nice back-to-the-basket ability, a guy who’s pretty skilled.

"He’s very, very competitive, and I think he’s going to gain a lot in the strength program. He’s got a chance to make the kind of gains that will allow those offensive skills to be displayed."

This quote just screams to me that Hurley thinks he's got a player here that's going to make an big impact, literally and figuratively.

Of course he's hedging. The kid has to show up in practice and earn his playing time just like any other guy on the team. That said, I think coach expects him to earn significant playing time, as do I.
