Hurley Suspension? | The Boneyard

Hurley Suspension?

.-.
Done as much for the kids as anything else I suspect. But, if that’s what’s required to motivate these kids after a game with a regular season conference title on the line then there is a bigger problem. Also, Hurley needs to prep his team better. There is no excuse losing to a sub .500 team.

I think the point of the explosion was, reverse situation and they blow the whistle on UConn

How many times in this game alone did Marquette drive, throw up a shot that missed, we grabbed the rebound and only then did they blow the whistle after we had the ball in our hands. I counted at least 2.

Pretty sure the rule about touching a ref is a one game suspension. He's gone, correct?

All over a good call.

Probably should have remembered to coach the team, eh?
Hurley is so great but he still has these moments/games where he flat out embarrasses himself. Today was sure one of them. Didn't have his team prepared, the team completely abandoned what was working, and then he made contact with the ref when the game was over on the correct no call. He made it even worse after the game by saying he didn't make contact with the ref.

He'll be suspended, you simply can't make contact with the ref.

Has anyone seen/posted the postgame presser yet? I want to see how much accountability he takes for that dumpster fire he allowed to happen today. This time he’s has guilty as the team and his antics at the end certainly didn’t make it any better.

Crap conference with a chip on its shoulder over the only brand that brings value. It’s crazy how they allow hands all over us and refs have a thumb on the scales egging on an upset. You won’t see this in the NCAAs.

Good Lord CBS Sports is obsessed. I’ve already seen like 5 different videos on Facebook about the ejection. Seemed like a no call to me so I think a lot of his reaction was frustration over the team playing like dogsht.

Refs were fine today. They missed some both ways.

He freaked out because the team played like garbage and just blew the Big East title.

That's exactly why Hurley reacted like he did. He was incredibly frustrated by the play today.

I'm more upset with Dan yelling at Kimani not to fn touch him than I am with this stupid foul.

Doubt he's getting suspended. He looked like an idiot but considering he didn't actually touch the ref it's hard to see a suspension coming

It's roster construction. You have to have the right mix of players that have the ability to execute the game plan at a high level consistently on both sides of the ball. This includes the bench. You have to have Dogs that mirror the Hurley's mentality. It's not there with this team and we need to accept this reality.

This is a good team, it's not great. They plateaued in the middle of the season and they put fear in none of their opponents who look at them as vulnerable. The signs have been there the entire season. When you think about the early season success that benchmark is contingent on continued development relative to the other top teams.
