And how did that work out for himHurley might be a better recruiter at UConn than Shaka will be at Marquette, but Shaka was a recruiting beast at Texas.
He had 16 top 75 recruits in 6 years with a couple top 10 recruits.

Even when it was nip and tuck in second, I asked myself if they lost would I still think Hurley did well, and the answer was I would still say yes. He actually was under control, loved the push the ball plan, and made some great adjustments to get the kids moving on O, and stuck with hammering the boards on O. I really think you could see the wheels turning.Might have been the best game Hurley has coached yet at UConn. Extended in the 2nd half and took away those damn threes. Marquette is a very average team if you make them take it inside the line.
My daughters boyfriend is a U of Texas grad and to say they dislike Shaka a lot is an understatement. He was horrible there. Let’s see what he does down then road at MarquetteHurley is a better recruiter. Shaka is a better at coaching the game of basketball... by quite a bit.
Stop this nonsense and enjoy the great W
Shaka got run out of TexasShaka went to a final 4 with an A10 team. Hurley has the potential, but let’s see him win in March first
Haha exactly. Just didn’t seem to be a fit at Texas. Marquette seems to be the perfect place for him though.Shaka got run out of Texas
I like him, but keep things in perspective
Almost as jarring as Frank Martin without hair.I still am adjusting to seeing Shaka with hair.
Hurley’s definitely better (one of the best) at making players feel like beasts.
Imagine how pumped you’d feel if you were Hawkins here?
