UConn isn’t really a stepping stone program. We’ll pay him but he’s in line with the Baylor coach salary and others. It’s just Kansas Kentucky Duke and a few others paying obscene money. But that doesn’t seem like his style. Who knows though.

You’re right, Wagner and URI are the stepping stones. UConn is the forever job. Dan Hurley is outside the top 25/30 highest paid college hoops coaches. And he’s not leaving the Northeast. Andrea won’t let him. I don’t think that’s his style either though.

I think Danny would like to be seen as a springboard for assistants though. Painful in the short term but good for keeping the program fresh. He'll be able to keep finding "right guys".

The most laughable part of it is that a Met/Jet fan acts as if he is some mojo expert who can conjure it at will. If he had 5% of the abilities that he claims, the two franchises would have more than a combined three titles over a combined 120 years of competition.
