I don’t find it embarrassing at all. As an athlete and a competitor you are going to be motivated by your low points. I would hope the team is using that as motivation and trying to make sure it doesn’t happen again. How embarrassing. Imagine saying that to a recruit- "our new mantra is 40 mins....well...because we didn't show up to an NCAA tourney game"
I think people are overreacting about it a little. He was disappointed about how he played at the end. I’m not surprised. Obviously hard to leave a program he loved, but it was always known he was out the door in year 2. I’m personally not that surprised or shocked by anything that was said. Can someone please tell me what’s so “interesting” about the JB comments?
It’s like a relationship that you know is going to end but you keep holding out hope until it’s officially over. We know deep down he isn’t coming back, but quotes like that leave a glimmer of selfish hope for us diehard fans that love the kid. The true fans will be rooting for him hard in the nba next season and beyond. All the “fans” on here trashing him can go pound sand. Can someone please tell me what’s so “interesting” about the JB comments?
This was so perfectly put. I wish I could like this a thousand times. It’s like a relationship that you know is going to end but you keep holding out hope until it’s officially over. Bouk comment is interesting... still assume he is gone, but sounds like it’s not as easy of a choice as it was made out to be.
