Hurley comments on Koroma, Millender and Jacob Ross

I like the idea that these kids are not just vying for P/T but also (due to the Portal) seeing if they have "it" to make some type of impact at this level. If not, they will improve their skills practicing against superior talent and the Portal is the tool that will help find a place for them.
Having heard a lot of negativity about the Portal, I like this positive view of how players can productively use time where perhaps they are not a perfect fit and the Portal to find the right place for themselves.

Would it be safe to say the contrast between Pitino and Dan is the "another shiny toy" vs "utility and need" recruiting philosophies?

Of the 3 it's going to come down to depth at position.

1. Koroma - if Alex has to come out (fouls, fatigue, coach talk, minutes capped, whatever) - if Stewart is on the floor, Koroma has a good chance to slot in for a few minutes.
2. Millender - tougher - has 4 guards in front of him, so unless Hurley has to yell at 2-3 of them at a time, this will likely be mop-up minutes.
3. Jacob Ross - He is currently listed at 6'4" and a shooting guard where Solo and Mullins are ahead of him. If he continues to grow like his brother (who also was a guard) - he will be a wing behind Stewart, Furphy, and his own brother.

So of the 3 I see Dwanye Koroma getting the most minutes.
