I think a decent chance that a 2 loss team makes it in. And WMU has no shot.

This would have been a year that Houston could have crashed the party (especially with OU leading the B-12).

If they had run the table (which also would have included beating Louisville), it would have made it nearly impossible to keep them out.

MY TOP 25:

1. Bama (prohibitive favorite for NFL wild-card)
2. Ohio St (still dominating talent)
3. Michigan (Iowa played their best at home)
4. Washington (one poor game)

5. Clemson (been living on a prayer)
6. Louisville (still explosive)
7. West Virginia (giving them benefit but tough challenges ahead)
8. Oklahoma (haven't shown consistency - 8-10 blanket)
9. Wisconsin (solid but not outstanding)
10. Utah (incredible RB who came out of a trailer)

11. Western Mich (might be a reach but let's roll with it)
12. Colorado (getting better but may have reached ceiling)
13. Penn St. (ditto playing their best but sky's not the limit)
14. Florida (could end up in top 10)
15. Troy (where have they been - better record than credit given)

16. USC (who the heck knows when these guys will show up)
17. North Carolina (ACC 2nd tier)
18. Boise St. (full time athletes can't hurt)
19. Oklahoma St. (watered down conference)
20. Florida St. (lost to solid opposition)

21. Virginia Tech (could be underrated)
22. LSU (rallying late)
23. Auburn (points?)
24. Washington St. (PAC 2nd tier)
25. Texas A&M (Sumlin in hot water again)

IN: Southern Cal, Troy OUT: Nebraska, Baylor

If still undefeated, Houston would be #2 in the polls, and possibly in the CFP rankings too.

With that, the Big 12 is eliminated.

And yet Oklahoma still has an outside shot. They will be 7th or 8th in next week's rankings.
We'll see, but I suspect it will be OSU/Michigan winner, Washington, Clemson, and Alabama. I get this weird feeling WMU is going to lose to Toledo.
