I don't know on what planet they could get in after getting pasted as badly as they did.

Win rest of games including Clemson and Florida, esp if Clem d Lou and Fla is unbeaten, and Noles are in contention.

59 teams remain.

Rutgers lost for the second time.
58 teams remain.

Army, Georgia Southern lost.
Oklahoma St., LSU, South Carolina, UCLA, Arizona, Cal lost for second time.
44 teams remain.

Out of curiosity because I'm too lazy to look but has any two loss team ever made the CFP?

I could see some SEC West team pull that off because of the teams they play.....just wondering because you're removing teams once they lost two but you never know.

Thanks for doing this though, it's fun to watch

The 44 ...

P5
ACC (9) - Louisville, Clemson, Wake, Fla St, NC St / VaTech, UNC, GaTech, Miami
B12 (6) - TCU, Baylor, WVa, Kansas St, Texas, Tex Tech
B10 (10) - Michigan, Mich St, Maryland, OhioSt, Indiana / Wisc, Nebr, Iowa, Minn, Purdue
PAC (5) - Stanford, Wash / Utah, ArizSt, Colorado
SEC (6) - Tenn, Fla, Ga / Alabama, TAMU, Arkansas

G5
AAC (3) - Navy, Houston, Memphis

MTN (3) - Air Force, Boise, San Diego St

p5 teams in bold are undefeated

That said, a decent chance that the playoff teams are Alabama, B10 champ, Lou/Clem winner, Houston.

Some great games next week Washington-Stanford, Wisconsin-Michigan, Clemson-Lville.

The CFP is only in its third season, and no, no one with more than one loss has got in. I highly doubt a two-loss team will ever get in. I like the CFP more than the BCS or an 8-team playoff because it is a humongous double-elimination (in some cases, single elimination) tournament. The BCS left out P5 undefeateds occasionally (among others), while an 8-team playoff would have auto-bids ruining the meaning of non-conference games partially. The reason two loss teams are out is because they have not been in the discussion the previous two years.

Toledo lost.
53 teams remain.

Georgia Tech lost for the second time.
42 teams remain.

Iowa and Texas both lost for the second time.
40 teams remain.

Navy, San Diego St., and Memphis lost. Florida St., Kansas St., TCU, Georgia all lost for the second time.
33 teams remain.

Hard to believe that Purdue was still alive, but they were also eliminated today.

With the Noles out, that means the preseason #3,4,5,10,11,12,13,14 are gone.

My bad. Purdue lost for the second time.
31 teams remain.

I think Houston just lost its opportunity with Louisville losing to Clemson

Lsu in 2007 won with 2 regular season losses.

That's it for any 2 loss team since the 60's

Thanks, I think that's who I was thinking of but didn't realize it was that long ago and during the BCS era.
