While he prepares for the college game, Greer will also have to get ready for a new level of high school basketball with Kevin Boyle and Montverde Academy.

“Me going to Monteverde, I feel like that was the best thing for me,” he said. “Just hearing the talks about how hard his practices are, how much of an amazing coach he is, and playing his guys in winning positions.”

“For instance, Liam McNeeley with UConn,” he concluded. “I could see myself filling that role for them, being a great shooter and underrated passer.”

Does he know we've got a field house named after him?

I thought it was named after grandpa Walton. Go figure.

This should be the first stop when he visits. Fill Greer (the Field House, not grandpa Walton) with swag and bling and drip and edits and free plane tickets and duffle bags of NIL and all those other things I had never heard of until I learned about each here at the boneyard.

what?
They claim they're very judicious with their offers.

Because I clicked on a couple articles this past winter about Filipowski, the Duke site sends me articles multiple times per day some days.

All of them hype Scheyer and they constantly talk about how discriminating they are with offers.

I think it's about twelve for the next class and they're all five stars or at least that's what I remember them claiming one day last week.

UConn: “When I went to USA Camp in April, we watched the Final Four games and I found myself just watching Coach [Danny] Hurley coaching. He’s a fun guy to watch and very energetic on the basketball court. With him, he’s that coach you really want behind your back because you know he’s going to be there for you. I think one of the best things with him is how hard his practices are, from what I’ve seen, and him being a great guy as well.”

This dude seems to really like us. We're involved with so many guys right now and I really don't think we take more than 3-4 max. Will be really interesting to see how it all shakes out.

we've established that unless Ball or Mahaney go pro after next season (along w/ AK, Liam, Stew) then there just isnt enough PT for Thomas and another 4-5* G/W... so all the time staff is putting into Mullins, Greer and to a lesser extent Adams, doesnt seem to bode well for Thomas. commence w/ the lampooning if you must.

Trying to understand the game with recruiting is fool's gold. Staff could be recruiting 1, 2, or even 3 of these guys. Maybe they expect transfers. Maybe they expect no transfers and all 5 of those guys to go pro. Maybe they think Thomas is a lead guard and the rest are off-ball. It's not worth fretting over.

Just enjoy the fact that we're getting visits from legit high-end talent. All indications point to us being a very strong contender for Thomas.

everyone is trying to maximize NIL asks by delaying and gating visits etc, but they don't necessarily get what they want in the end. Maybe the staff is recruiting more guys as a kind of counter leverage, putting some time pressure on the guys holding out etc.

can't really speculate one way or another definitely. greer is a good plug and play piece with a bit lower ceiling than some of the other players discussed at that position.

FYI, the kid started his freshman year at Lake Travis High School in Austin, an excellent athletic program (Garrett Wilson's alma mater). His coach was Brett Baty's father. Good background
