For some reason, I'm hung up on Providence +6.5 against Kentucky tonight.

UConn is -3.5 tomorrow night, btw.

I'll be rooting for PC, but I'm thinking Kentucky will actually play hard for once.

Just want to see Calasmarmy lose again.

Generally, when I look at a bet, I ask myself "could I make a case for the other side of this bet?" When one side of the bet is Providence only getting 6.5 points, the answer is clearly NO.

It's a no-win game for us.

If Kentucky wins, we don't get to see Calipari suffer.

If Providence wins, they'll expect a parade, a state holiday and the cover of Sports Illustrated.

It'd be like Rutgers winning the Rose Bowl.

Say what you want (please don't- I am sick of talking about Pc) but they were far from our biatches the last few years. I simply hope that after this year we can forget all about them and their basketball program. We have plenty of programs in our new hot pile of a league- at least we will play them down the road.

PC fans are just now realizing that this isn't really a neutral court game since UK signed the same multiple year deal with Barclays as MD did.

Providence looks intimidated by Kentucky's length and athleticism early on. This could get ugly.

7 is just such an important number. I couldn't bring myself to make a play on UK. Never considered PC.

Providence seems to have brought some fans to nyc tonite

Yeah, impressive showing by Providence fans. I don't know what the raw numbers are, but they seem louder than Kentucky fans.

Lots of UK haters out there. I'm not sure there are so many PC fans in the building, just a lot of people pulling for the underdog. Rhode Islanders won't drive more than 30 minutes for anything but gambling.

Steps to burning money.

1. Consider betting on Providence.

2. Acquire gasoline.

3. Apply liberally to money.

4. Strike match.

I actually did a 3 team teaser:

Got pats +3
SF + 2.5
Kuntucky +.5

Risk 200 for 175 ... Money!

If I had to bet their fans are happy with the UK game-they ONLY lost by 14 points and WERE ONLY down 4 at half. Face it, UK started four frosh and a soph while THEY had 3 Sr's in their starting lineup who scored 60% of their points. They are probably really happy with where their team is this year going forward-too bad they don't realize their best players are Sr's right now, although Dunn will be good if he ever recovers from that shoulder injury. Who knows about the incoming players, but they'll be Fr. I like our team this year and in the future by far over THEM.

Even when UK loses, Cal spins it like a positive. He never suffers in public, unless you count that combover he keeps plastering over his bald spot.
