Is there a specific hotel that a lot of Uconn fans stay in for the Big East? Or is everyone pretty scattered?

I didn’t even understand the question. The hotel for big east games would be whatever is near the team we are playing. If what was meant is the Big East Tournament then maybe say that or add “near MSG” or something. I suspect most here are like @Lafayette and are close enough. I plan to be at a local bar or on my couch. Maybe even the Sportsbook in Plainville, MA.

Maybe he gets so disgruntled watching the league games that his family demands he stay at a hotel on game nights.

OK well apparently this too complicated for everyone....I understand your question that you were asking about the Big East tournament. Right now, I have not seen anything but something might pop up closer to tournament time. UConn is partnered with Marriott but that still only narrows it down to probably 10 different places in the area. If you email UConn Athletics they are pretty responsive and helpful.

Jack Demsey's and Legends are two typical bar/meet up spots pre-game, FYI.

Thanks! I didn’t think it was a complicated question so thanks for confirming that for me.

We always stay at the New Yorker, kitty-corner across from the Garden; there are still rooms are available for less than $300 a night. Get a milkshake for breakfast at the Tic Tok Diner, great hangover cure.
I did look at that one. It’s close to where the team usually stays too. Thanks for the suggestion! For the milkshake too.

In NYC you get what you pay for so find a range you’re willing to pay, lock into an area you’re comfortable with and suck the rest up.

Yeah I lived in NYC for 5 years so I’m comfortable with most areas. I more just wanted to know if there were certain hotels that were a bit more UConn fan heavy.

We have stayed at multiple hotels near MSG over the years and I would focus on price that your group is comfortable with. I don't think there is any one UConn hotel as we have seen fans from most BE schools wherever we stay. During our last BET, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn right next to MSG/Penn Station and close to the bars like Stout, Legends, Mustang Harry's, and Celtic Rail (formerly Blarney Rock which was a UConn/Syracuse favorite).

... Fairfield Inn right next to MSG/Penn Station ...
amazing views from upper rooms, and the rooftop bar deck

I like Marriott Renaissance Midtown. One block from MSG and UConn has stayed there for at least a few MSG games in recent years

Easy access to the subway and the path

There are several hotels within 3-4 blocks, and they'll all have basketball fans

My earlier post on this thread was delated - political. Hardly the case. It was SAFETY oriented. If you haven't been on 8th Ave lately, be forwarned that it's a combat zone. See NY Post. etc. Some hotels are suspect for SAFETY reasons.
Give me break. I have been on 8th Ave and it's fine. Have you? Or you're just quoting the NY Post? What a joke, they love to sensationalize crime in NYC.

Go to hotels when I stay in Manhattan

Setai Fifth Avenue

Mandarin Oriental Hotel

Both are in great locations. I really do not care for the area around Madison Square Garden.
