that's strange - why didn't players 1-20 make the team? they left off Hollivay (8), Beebe (12), Martin (18) and Cornet (19). but they took Collier, Ballard, Mabrey, and Jones - the last two rated over 30...

Not sure why but for the record, last year's game included 4 players ranked in the 30s or lower by Hoopgurlz.

Allyson Mallot (40)
Cassie Peoples (36)
Bonnie Samuelson (61)
Kiah Stokes (42)

Either you're being too logical, or they don't like their own rankings any more than you and I do. :D

The kids are only allowed to play in 2 post-season All-Star games. It may be that some are unable to accept the invitation as they've committed to other events.

Prospect rankings and senior high school all-star teams are not the same. Griner wasn't the best HS player in her junior and senior years, but she was the best prospect.

Hollivay stated on twitter a couple weeks ago that she couldn't play in this game due to her being suspended from her HS team due to that event where she and her HS got in a screaming match that lead to her HS coach being fired.

Either way RU has a good player in both games.

Beebe isn't playing this season as far as I know because she is still recovering from a torn ACL earlier this spring.
