The Huskies will travel to Ann Arbor on Nov. 5 before hosting the Wolverines in 2027-28.

This will be UConn’s first-ever game in the state of Michigan.

I'm stunned they've never played in Michigan

Our game out there next season is November 5? Not counting games that don't count
[exhibitions etc] that sure sounds like our first game of the season,,,pretty spiffy
quality, They gave us all we wanted here this past season with that second half
rally....down 20 at the half...a trey to tie at the buzzer.

There was lots of talk about how young Michigan was...maybe 4 sophs starting?
The assumption was that the next season would be THE one for them to be great.
"Next season" is the one coming up.

Should be a great test for both teams. Please let it be NOT on some weird
channel...."weird" being defined as one I do not get.

Whoever said UConn played a "soft" nonconference schedule last year can't complain next season with games against South Carolina, LSU, Duke, Notre Dame, Louisville, Ohio State, Maryland and Michigan......going undefeated next season would be quite an accomplishment....

Sorry I missed that this belonged in the next year's schedule thread.

It seems kind of nuts to me that we are still scheduling 2026 opponents. But maybe this is normal?

I am excited about the matchup though. Definitely. I want the huskies to face swords and Olson.

.-.
Just checked...that game is on a Thursday....wish it was on a "higher profile" day...Saturday or Sunday.
Hmm...wonder how far back we have to go to find us actually losing [heaven forbid!] our first game
of the year? Uhh...that is assuming we had a first loss...which oft-times didn't happen.

Guessing that it was the first game of the 1995-1996 season at LSU. First game after our Ring #1 game
against LadyVol.

10 of 12 now confirmed. The other two may be known already, but not yet communicated.

Normal to have some late stragglers, but most set by tournaments/marquis games, home& homes, sr homecomings if relevant.

With only 11-12 OOC games, it's now more important than ever to schedule good P4 teams. This means less opportunity for local CT and Northeast teams.

Daniel Connolly commented in his story on the Michigan home and home that "The Huskies don’t have a single home non-conference game on the books at the moment."

That means that South Carolina, LSU, Duke, Notre Dame, Louisville, Ohio State, Maryland and Michigan are all away and at extra cost to see? After all that season ticket holders went through last year financially and emotionally to be able to get seats, I'm hoping that UConn Athletics understands that paying customers will want to see some competitive games live without having to pay extra to fly somewhere to see them.... Head bang

The Duke game this coming season is at a neutral site, followed by a home-and-home series in coming years (IIRC).

So Carolina is at Mohegan Sun, Duke is in Boston, and Maryland is in Brooklyn

We really are the fan base with the greatest sense of entitlement in the NCAA

In all of human history.

A neutral site game in New England?

TD Garden in Boston is hardly neutral. It’s likely to be filled with UConn fans. I already bought tickets for my wife and myself, my son and his wife, who live near Boston, and our 2 grandkids who will be attending their 1st college sporting event of any kind.
