Something New: was given a 4 pack of Innis & Gunn Winter Beer 2012. It's yummy! "This is the first time we have brewed & oak matured a Porter, which has imparted withgreat depth of flavour thanks to the addition of some roasted wheat, crystal malt and molasses." In addition, it's aged in oak casks.

Chin, if you're up from Florida & want to try something that you may not be able to get down south, my recommendation is to try any of the offerings from Cisco Brewery of Nantucket. My group absolutely loves "Whale's Tail Pale Ale" IPA, but all varieties are delicious. And on this Christmas day, I'll be hoisting a brew in honor of all 'Yarders as soon as I get to the in laws's party in about 30 minutes. Merry Christmas all!

Many fond memories of Cisco fortified wines during the early 90's while living in Rochester. Cisco more than earned it's name of "liquid crack".

I still have tremors and semi-flashbacks of Cisco wine.

So, I appreciate the suggestion, but much like me not touching gin since homecoming dance in 1985, I will abstain from anything with the name Cisco.

Whale's Tail is an excellent Pale Ale. Not an IPA (they have a separate IPA), but a mildly hoppy pale ale with a fairly prominent malt character. Best thing is it comes in cans, which are great for the beach.

Mayflower brewing in Plymouth MA makes some very nice beers as well. Worth a try for those looking for local beer, not widely distributed.

+1000

The only thing I would drink that would turn me into a criminal. Not good.
