Hines visiting tomorrow!!!

I like Holloway and like Seton Hall, but I am lukewarm on Hines. Holloway could teach me to be a decent defender, so I don’t want to give Hines too much credit for his freshman year D. I think his upside offensively is Samson Johnson, and it could take him that long to develop.

I would like Reibe back.

He's already got a better offensive game than Samson.

We weren’t dependent on Clingan’s scoring. He got some rim runs/lobs and putbacks but we very rarely threw it to him on the block and let him go to work. Illinois was maybe the one game we did since Hawkins couldn't handle him early (And Edey only got 30 seconds of rest since we posted DC up for a dunk the minute his backup came in).

If our weapons at 1-4 are in place and he’s a good lob target, we’ll be good to go. A euro backup who could shoot wouldn’t be the worst thing if we want more spacing in a matchup.

Im in Delaware. Dammit.

A Hines/McKeever center would be a dream, but I'd assume McKeever is searching for a starting gig.

If Reibe doesn't come back, a defensive-minded center like Yale's Samson Aletan or Charleston's Chol Machot would be a nice fit. Both guys are super switchable on defense and are excellent shot-blockers. He's skinny, but Machot has some stretch to his game too.

Another idea, replace Reibe as the backup center with another German, BU's Ben Defty. The seven-footer ranks as the team's best defender and finished his sophomore season averaging 15p, 7r and a pair of assists and blocks apiece. He's another guy who could earn a starting job, though.

You know of players I haven't even heard of.

@Hey Adrien! Have you heard anything recently on a re-class to 2026 for Sayon Keita? I know that had been talked about a few months ago.

Why did he only get 18 minutes a game? Conditioning, fouls, better options?
He was a reclass freshman, and most of the above. Sha started a senior over him that played pretty decent for a while, but Hines was clearly better. But yes conditioning, and a little bit fouls (but he fouled less often than Reibe).

St. Johns is trying to have him on campus later in the week. Hoping we can close...
If he takes that visit, it doesn’t bode well for good guys. Let’s hope it doesn’t get to that.

Is he bigger than tarris?
Not many people are built like Tarris a 6’11 NFL Defensive End lol…but Hines has the body type to approach that and has massive hands which makes him great rebounder and finisher in the paint, and has 3 years of eligibility if he doesn’t go pro early

Reibe was extremely foul prone down the stretch for us…..so you criticize Hines and the guy you want back was way worse down the stretch

My post was that I don't like a foul prone player burning his fouls on ball screens. If you are looking to take driveby shots at me, you should at least reference what I was actually posting about.
