Even the coach is saying if we get him back in January. This injury just takes time to heal. And you have to make sure it is 100% healed before trying anything like running and cutting on it. The risk of re-injury is high if you come back to quick. With advancements in AI and medical treatments today, 4 to 6 weeks seems way conservative. This type of injury shouldn't linger more than 2 weeks. It's 2025 for God's Sake!
It is not like a traditional rolled/twisted sprained ankle.
The ligament in question in a high ankle sprain is the main stabilizer for the whole ankle joint. That’s why it hurts so much more than the traditional roll.
As an athlete the first thing that crosses your mind, when you roll twist an ankle in the traditional way (in) toward the torso, is let me get up and see where I am at.
A high ankle sprain the reaction is different, it’s like wow that hurts bad did I break my ankle, should I try to get up. Just the fact that Liam tried to walk it off is testament to how tough a player he is.
We got a Cam 2.0, in Liam and now we have to go through a cold January without him.
