Hernandez charged with murder

"After Lloyd was shot near Hernandez's home in North Attleborough, Mass., Ortiz and Wallace returned to Bristol, Conn. That is where, according to court records made public in Florida today, Ortiz told police that Wallace said Hernandez shot Lloyd."

So where was Ortiz when the shooting happened - sitting in vehicle? Still missing a piece.

Honestly, there's no normal person in America who is not thinking, WTF? I'm guessing his fiance is in that club too. Just crazy.

When I first saw your post, I read "Still can't stop thinking about how AH must be dumb." And I was like, "yup".

Never mind - found it in another source document:

But Ortiz told police the two men shook hands and the problem seemed smoothed over. However, the Altima soon stopped, and everyone but Ortiz got out to urinate, according to Ortiz's account.

The witness told police he then heard gunshots before Hernandez and Wallace got back into the car without Lloyd and the car sped away. Ortiz said he couldn't see who fired the shots because it was dark.<<

That is the worst fun-hating story I've ever heard. I'll go out on a limb here and posit that this guy doesn't have a lawyer.

This trial could be stranger than OJ's.

Exactly. If all 4 of them were together, how could AH shoot the guy and the other two guys have to be told as such. They didn't see anything? Something doesn't add up.

So why would Wallace tell Ortiz that AH said he shot Lloyd? He didn't see it?

Game, set and match? Not yet. I'm not a lawyer, but I have seen Law and Order a couple of hundred times. I hear the voice of the crusty old DA saying things in a grouchy voice like:

"You don't have a witness that says he saw Hernandez kill Lloyd, all you have is a guy that says he heard a guy say that Hernandez did it."
"You don't have any evidence that puts the murder weapon in his hand, you don't even have a murder weapon!"
"You found scales in his safe. So what? Find the gun!"

If I am correct, Hernandez was not the only person recorded with a gun in his hand.
 
Somehow, I get the impression the prosecution will have a tough time with this case.

I think the smartest thing those two mopes did, was turn themselves in. The one in Florida walked in to a PD. If they hadn't, and started talking right away, Hernandez's lawyers would have probably tried paint AH as simply being loyal to his friends for not cooperating with the police. AH will spend millions on lawyers, the other two will have public defenders at best.
