This should be a non-story but it is just sooo bizarre. I have gotten drunk and done things shady and borderline illegal, as have most people. I just can't understand why a 32 year old man would think its cool to tea-bag a kid. Much worse things happen every second but that doesn't take away from the absurdity of this guys actions. It sucks for the guy because I don't think this warrants jail time but at the same time, I don't have any sympathy for such an idiot.

Fleud, you really are the ultimate mediator, always attempting to be hyper rational and trying to see all sides of the story (unless Chief is involved ;))
Boy do you have me pegged. Believe it or not I like chief, but he is one tough cookie. Most of us have blind spots that with a little bit of effort we can at least reluctantly admit to the possibility it exists.

My one hot button is the mob mentality. I don't like group lynchings. They are often the result of our irrational response to a stimulus, whether it is a sex, race, religion, philosophy or idea.

There are some irrational posters on this board that I wouldn't even begin to try to help them understand themselves. But chief is someone who has a lot of potential that I would hope can understand his blind spots. My frustration with him is really my frustration with myself for trying to fix the world whether it is ready to be fixed or not.

I've gotten past most of this weirdness in myself. I still occasionally apply it. But alas the two glasses of wine have flowed freely through my system and allowed me to regress this past couple of hours.

Its really a conversation that boils down Tyler Phommachanh ones personal definition of failure. I'm not pure, nor have I claimed to be. However, I'm really hesitant to tag people with the failure label its never that easy, this instance is an easy one for me. Legal things are easy, the moral ones are tough, everyone has a different moral compass which I can't judge, whats right for me might not be right for anyone else. Legality can be pretty black and white though.

I have plenty of skeletons, happily not any that include rubbing my sack on a stranger in public that doesn't have the ability to protect themselves.

If think this is ok it's a problem, it's not "college kids getting drunk at a game". It's someone putting their sack on someone as they are passed out, not a frat brother, a best friend, a teammate that had too much to drink some random dude. Sorry, that's up. The dude that is accused of doing this is 32, maybe a college kid, maybe not.

Would it be okay if it was a woman was that was the passed out one?

If that's your idea of a party thanks for the heads up.
If you ever get invited to one of his parties make sure you don't dose off or pass out drunk or you may wake up with some strange curly hairs in your mouth.

Anyway the only thing I can't agree with is this guy knowing he has a real weak and actually walking around with it like King ? That's the only embarrassing thing I can see..........:)

Mau, I'm pretty sure one of us did worse this at the UConn tailgate that I met up with you.

The reason the number of laws increases every year is because people try to find ways to get past laws. So new laws have to be made to account for human ingenuity. Black and white is a misnomer. As I stated, I don't condone this persons action. And in this day and age in which people record everyones behavior and instantly send it over the world, a lot of acts that are against the law are brought to justice. In the past similar acts were done and never brought to justice because they were not recorded. The action of the soldiers urinating on the dead Afghanis is a case in point. So big brother doesn't have to watch us. We are watching ourselves and in some cases we don't show things to seek justice, but show things for recognition which results in justice.

I'm of the opinion this is all about moral compass. Laws are just the tools created because there is a need to have a set of guidelines to prevent chaos. Humanity is all over the place regarding what is deemed acceptable or unacceptable. I would guestimate that most people have exceeded the speed limit or driven with some impairment and broken the law because they don't agree with the law. But those actions have severe consequences. Show a video tape of someone speeding 10 miles over the limit on youtube and people would be going WTF. Show a youtube video of someone speeding and hitting someone and many people would be appalled. The law against speeding was to reduce the chance of hitting someone. But we need the graphic reminder to bring this home. I'm not defending someone for indecent behavior. I not advocating for leniency on the behalf of crudeness. I'm stating many of us have done things that would offend people and we would argue that the other person is over reacting. I'm tempering my indignation because I know I have done offensive things that many of us have and would do but some have found unacceptable. After all I've been married for 35 years and woman never pass gas.

I guess you didn't read my entire first paragraph about this behavior. I don't condone it. But most of the people I know somehow fail at their obligations with their loved ones and justify it. I don't condemn them for abandoning their kids and shacking up with the first piece of tail that reminds them of a time past. It is what it is. But that is far more harmful to human beings, their children, than anything regarding these juvenile behaviors. I'm not judging my friends for their indiscretions. I understand them. I just can't get excited by an action that people act with shock and indignation that is treated by society as the world going wrong when most common everyday actions with far greater negative impacts are perceived as normal.

Dude he's fucking 32 and rubbed his testicles on another man in public, knowing he was being videotaped as it happened.

No, I have never done anything that mind-numbingly fucking moronic in my life. Stop making excuses for a fucking moron.

If you have never done anything wrong or stupid in your lifetime, anything that with intent or inadvertently hurt someone else, you would be the first person I would know out of the tens of thousands I've met who was perfect in every way and at all times. And you could lay claim to being the incarnate of the Holy One.

I'm not saying this act was appropriate. I'm not saying I condone this action. I'm saying people hurt one another in a lot more serious ways than this and don't think twice about it because it is common place as opposed to this being unusual.

Yea its totally normal to rub your junk in somebody's face, I guess the guy just had too much Bama in him.

I'd have to disagree counselor.
The reason that the number of laws increases every year is because we have legislative bodies whose job is expressly to pass laws. Think about it. Their job isn't to refine the law. Or make the law more efficient. Or remove ambiguity from the law. Their job is to pass laws. So they do.
Combine that with a population that earnestly believes, in great part, that the government should be in the business of righting every wrong, and what you have is a body of law that gets bigger every year.

Example - in PA there either is a law or there was an attempt to implement a law to make it a crime if snow came off your car while driving and caused an accident.

Do we really need a separate criminal law for that? Wouldn't the penalties imposed by the civil system for negligent behavior suffice?

Obviously a 32 year old "man" should never be doing anything like that and since it is not a bunch of college kids doing whatever they do, this is pretty whacked and he should be arrested. By the way it's not a woman so that question does not have any place in this discussion.

Who's making excuses for the guy. He was wrong and will have consequences for his actions and I support those consequences. My commentary is over the shock people were expressing regarding this incident. I don't find that reaction surprising or wrong BTW. It was just an opportunity for me to express something when I was surprisingly buzzed from two glasses of wine. I actually enjoyed having a conversation with Northbound and hope he didn't take offense by my discussion with him.

For the record this guys behavior surpasses anything I've contemplated doing never mind actually done. And I would wager I've done far less in terms of extreme behavior than many people on this forum.

I admit I chose not to click on the video. I read enough from this thread to know I don't need to be a voyeur and help this video go viral.

This guys lewd act was intended to stigmatize someone he hated. The reason for his hatred was that the other guy supported an opposing team. I find it interesting that you couldn't just have a discussion with me, but felt the need to use profanity to emphasize your disgust towards this guys act. The use of profanity is certainly no where's near the level of this guys disgusting act, but it wasn't necessary. And if you hadn't gotten angry at the one part of my post that stated many of us do horrible things to one another, you would have read my post and realized that just because I'm pointing out transgressions many of us do and rationalize, that is not the same as supporting the behavior of this guy. The only thing I'm not going to do is express shock and indignation about the act in order to be part of a group that feels that a reaction of outrage is the only correct response in this instance.
