X on Tuesday night, a team we have already beat. It comes after Creighton, a team that has given us trouble. A game we up for. St John's looms next weekend and eyes are already on it. A battle of titans.

Meanwhile Xavier has played reasonably well this season under a new coach. We handled them fairly easily last time. It will be hard NOT to be complacent. The contest has "trap" written all over it.

Trap or not for X but the St. John’s game at MSG is their game of the year and they will be desperate to win it. For me personally it’s the one on our schedule I want most till the tourney.

I would agree it could be described as a trap game although we've had so many close games - most notably with the last place team in our conference. So we can't pretend this would be a new thing to let guard down and have a close game with a team like Xavier - we've done that all season.

I expect it will be a battle as usual.

Trap games also can be statement games before another big game. I suspect both UConn and St. Johns will blow out these teams thumping their chest for Friday.

With this whole concept or idea of a trap game so widely known, with tons of examples, I am shocked it's still a thing, especially to such an extent.

Do people on this board really fear St John's? I can understand being worried we could lose but fearing them is ridiculous.
