Nothing new here, just a recap of information and speculation of those that have been following this saga. This guy thinks she'll soon commit to Uconn and wants credit for pushing in that direction, all he has accomplished is a new Boneyard thread

This isn't a report though. It's a clickbait site parroting the assumptions of a UConn fan on YouTube.
the “down to 2” was not something I had seen before, and I would’ve left it at that

But I had to include the link lest the thread be deleted

As a UConn fan I must admit that the longer this goes I think the less our chances.
Then again if I were a fan of one of her other possibilities I would think the same.
Hope she is comfortable with her choice and at a time when she can spend part of
her summer in that new environment....wherever it may be.

I think she would be a valuable contributor to UConn.

I have it on good authority that she is trying to bring another player along with her. I hear they're inseparable.

ND just got a commitment from Iyana Moore the 5'8" senior guard who's transferring from Vanderbilt.......does that impact Heckel's decision?

.-.
If she shows up in Storrs next weekend, then we'll know her choice, and if she doesn't then I guess her choice is ND.

There was talk on social media last week about Q possibly returning to the team next year because she was liking posts on social media, about staying. I wonder if that is playing into Heckel’s commitment delay. We may not have room for her, if Q stays.

I would imagine she would have committed somewhere by now, with summer practices starting soon. Especially if she knew the other schools had a scholly for her.

If YOU were Geno AND Heckel said she wanted to come, AND Samuels said she wanted to stay - what would you do?

It's one of several sites that have cropped up aroudn the time of the NCAAs -- or maybe they were there before and just got more prominent then. But the headlines are almost always teases and overstated, and the writing is flat and machine-like. I got suckered into one story that said it was an examination of UConn's prospects for nextyear, and it was talking about players who had graduated.

Once you enter the portal, the school is not obligated to honor your scholarship. Here I think that once you enter the portal you have crossed the proverbial Rubicon and are not coming back. It would never happen anyway.

I think the opposite, I think the longer it goes silent, the more likely she comes here. I think she has already told Geno she’s coming.

I believe these suppositions are mutually exclusive. There is one roster spot available since Q made a firm decision to leave UConn and enter the portal seeking a school/team where she can get more playing time. I expect Kayleigh will also make her school/team choice once she has all her transfer requirements in order.

This was being taken as a given at least 2 weeks ago. I went back and looked at the semi game with particular focus on Heckel. She did a yeoman job in an offense that was obviously front court biased. She got a real good look at the best back court biased offense in college ball. I think we are the clear favorites.

Don't past this along (It's a deep secret!). But Harrison Ford
was Kayleigh's Archeology Professor last semester at USC. He selected
her for a special mission: "In Search of The Lost Ark!". However, my sources
report that Kayleigh will be be back in Storrs in time for the June session
with "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"!! Questions to all interested Boneyarders:
Have you heard of other mysterious "missions" that the "K9"
could have been invited to? Another "secret" source reported Ms. Heckel
was off to the Antarctic with Sir Ernest Shackleton on HMS Endurance!
My final "mission" report was that Kayleigh was heading upriver with an
intrepid duet "On the AFRICAN QUEEN"! That last one was truly a "leeching" bit of
"Click bait"! Katherine ("Kate" to her friends)! and Humphrey knew that two is company, three a crowd. Exciting, huh! Z

Why would Heckel transfer from one losing school to another? Neither ND or USC are projected to be going anywhere next season, and she could start for either of them. I have always felt that she is coming here, otherwise why has Geno kept the roster spot open? The decision has already been made (dating back to her visit here), it just hasn't been announced. Moore transferring to ND from Vandy, is also a good indication that ND knows Heckel is coming here.

In this hypothetical situation, if I were Geno, I would pick Q all because she knows the system we are running both offense and defense. She knows the expectations of the program and understands her role, at that time, on the team. She knows the players strengths and weaknesses and we know Q's. It would be a smooth transition.

Heckel. If Q comes back. I am going to have some questions about the portal. And I am going to really depend on UConn women’s basketball reporters to ask those questions.

I'd want to know what Geno told Q in her end of season assessment before I could answer this.
