UDel up 16 with 7:48 to go. Drexel does not have enough offense to come back.
Whitney could make it a bad Knight for the opponent. In the wonderful world of midmajor wbb, W-GB is once again struggling with Detroit.
Don't know if anyone else has checked out Florida Gulf Coast, but I took a look at their archived A-Sun tourney games on ESPN3, and they may be an unpleasant surprise for some unsuspecting first round higher seed. They feature three seniors, so they'll be down for a couple years after this, but they have a really shining frosh, 6-3 Whitney Knight that...well, I'm not exactly sure what her top end is, but it's really high.
Very frustrating watching EDD play against this level of talent. I can only imagine how UCONN fans feel. That is so much talent to be on the floor with players who obviously cannot challenge her. I would love to see her play against teams like UCONN, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee to see how good she truly is. Sorry to bunch UCONN in with UT. I know that they played MD but MD is ranked 21st in the nation in FG% defense and not even in the top 50 in points allowed per game.
It is hard for me to even compare her stats to Nneka's and BG's due to the talent level she is facing.
Since EDD will never win a championship does that mean that she cannot be considered as one of the best to ever play the game?
Count me as still skeptical of it. Grossly over-ranked as a top 10 team.I have been skeptical of their high ranking until today.
Well -- the opponents talent level has no bearing on Free throw shooting; and Elena is surely one of the best FT shooters in NCAA and high school history.
Yeah, I'd like to see UDel upgrade the schedule. They are a local rival for Maryland and Temple. I'd like to see them play Duke. I don't think EDD can score inside on Williams, but EW can't chase her all over the court. If Elena can get EW in foul trouble, it could be close.
