He also played good defense on the last few possessions .Banggggg Jordan Hawkins Fast break corner 3. Warriors immediately call timeout!

Is he guarding Steph? Just saw Steph has 42
Solid play by Hawkins. Call against him vs Curry was odd as Curry initiated the contact. NO coach was very upset with the call as were the announcers. Loved that he got to double figures and so many rebounds. Hawkins didn't press and looked comfortable. He seemed to know he could play at this level.Great start. He looks the part in the league

Hawkins and Bouknight are perfect examples of how to and how not to conduct yourself. Jordan is so pointed in the right direction. Maybe I overestimate Bouk's natural ability, but he seems to be wasting his potential, whereas Jordan maximizes his. Pretty cool to see him go from a kid to a likely role model.Already played more meaningful NBA minutes than Bouk...
It's almost like Bouk left college a year too soon....Hawkins and Bouknight are perfect examples of how to and how not to conduct yourself. Jordan is so pointed in the right direction. I love the situation for Hawkins in that the Pelicans need shooting and Hawk has the green light but they have no real point guard. McCollum ain't it and Alvarado is a bench guy and another iso type player Too much 1 on 1 from McCollum, Zion, and Ingram and Zion is basically a black hole.Hawkins defensive assignments were Moody, Payton, & Podziemski. He was switched on to steph a few times, and was as good as anyone on him (that is to say, defense against steph is basically a wasted endevour).
Side note: Watching McCollum go 1 on 1 so often is really annoying. Hawk must have been open more than a dozen times while CJ does a poor MJ impression. I remember thinking the same about Billups 20 years ago, while Rip was open for shots. Obviously my view is colored by love for our guys, but CJ is not nearly good enough to take as many mid range jumpers as he does.
