WrongA little adversity may be good for him. I spoke with some people who felt he has coddled by his parents throughout his career might not be ready. Needs to add some weight in the off-season, I don’t think he can defend at a NBA level right now. Also needs to keep working on his ball handling, i’d make him the g league point guard and force him to get better. I don’t see where he “lit it up” he was the least efficient offensive player they had.
Wrong
Ive followed Hawk since he was a sophomore in Baltimore and have spoken to his parents but don't know them.
I do know a few who grew up around Hawk and while he was/is protected by his parents he wasn't coddled.
His father worked him hard.
Just another example of talking out of one's ass.I mean even without knowing them I saw the piece done about Hawk during the tournament. When you compare your father to Dan Hurley and say their similarities are why you chose to play for Hurley, I doubt you were coddled.
I dunno, he's showed he has nothing to learn there. It a bad move if they are just going stuff Hawkins on the bench.
Agreed, it’s much better for him wherever he plays more. He needs to get used to NBA physicality on defense, which G League experience would still help with.It a bad move if they are just going stuff Hawkins on the bench.
But he was down in G for one game.It was always going to be a quick trip, guys go down to get reps and are then brought back
How does this contradict what I said? Reps doesn't mean games, go down to the G and play 30+ minutes and get up 20+ shot attempts=reps. I think if boneyarders followed the NBA they would realize that this is common with rookies and 2nd year players if they're not seeing a ton of minutes and/or stuck in a logjam. Moses Moody was a lottery pick and he was doing this in his 2nd year due to the Warriors logjam at guard/wings.But he was down in G for one game.
Especially after, right or wrong, the player logs some dnp’s. I am far more curious as why Jordan isn’t getting any time in that rotation than a single game in the g league. Getting sent down then being recalled after 1 game was probably communicated and preplanned even before he dominated. Jordan has to remain patient. As the season progress, things will open up again for him.How does this contradict what I said? Reps doesn't mean games, go down to the G and play 30+ minutes and get up 20+ shot attempts=reps.
