it wasn't the typical prayer like Adams shot against Cincinnati
it wasn't the perfectly executed pass and shoot play Burrell to George that was designed and executed perfectly
They had the ball and somehow a kid from Indiana gets a wide open shot .
that required a series of independent events for it to succeed all succeeded , that was divine intervention
1 we failed to stop the inbound
2 we failed to foul
3 they pass to freshman who doesn’t hold it but panics an throws it up court
4 we somehow get a deflection
5 Mullins gets the ball but isn’t in a good shooting position
6 Mullins passes to Karaban we has a guy in his face and passes on the bad shot
7. He passes back to Mullins whose in perfect catch and shoot position totally unguarded
thats divine intervention
any one changes we lose

I don't think it would get past any TV filter or my filter. If you're talking about what she said, the TV camera was on her it was hilariously done.
The Holy Efffin Shot

.-.
The Mullins miracle is the easiest to reference in conversation. I have a feeling it'll just evolve into that anyway

I think Raftery threw out a great candidate right after staving off a heart attack when the ball when through the hoop. “Utterly impossible!”

It's whatever you wanna call it, I call it "Mullins" ya it sounds corny but so does "the shot" if you heard it for the first time and not for the last 30 plus years. I do believe it takes time to come up with a name, it can't be forced and it needs to roll off the tongue fast and easy imo.

.-.
we already had “Cardiac Kemba” - so the heart attack is out. But, everybody had a heart attack on that play. All the Duke players looked like they had them as they played hot potato. And when the shot went up, I think both fanbases did, too.

the pick 3?

Boozer Beater is just too perfect. But I do like The Moonshot.

It should be "He Got Rain".

A combination of his moniker of "the bringer of rain" from Hurley that Fanta always pushes and 'He Got Game" from our own Ray Allen Hollywood masterpiece since he may be our best pure shooter since Ray.

That should be the name, shirt, and NIL push. HE GOT RAIN ! 😀

.-.
It’s the shot 2.0 I was fortunate enough to be 13 years old for” the shot “with Tate now I saw this one. Blessed. It’s already on t shirts
This. It's the Shot 2.0 or maybe the Moonshot...

It has to be named in the moment, anyone trying to suggest a (not so) clever name 2 weeks later, that isn't going to stick, is trying too hard...

It's the Boozer beater or it won't have a go-to name. Everything else is just forced.

Moonshot is kinds cool. Shot 2.0, eh. Boozer Beater is cool for a second, then corny.

In a decade nobody is going to know that Cam Boozer was on that team and nobody is going to know who Cayden Boozer is. Can’t tarnish the name of the shot by including the Boozer names

Mullins Miracle sounds nice!

Very Disney - but fits.

Indyecent Propulsion

Indiana Jones - Raiders of the Logo Shot

Mullins’ Moon Shot seems easy to refer to, like “where you when Mullins’ Moon Shot went down?”
This is my favorite.
The deflection was a miracle, the shot wasn't.
Moon shot references the distance and inevitability
And no need to reference the dukies.

"The Launch." Same idea
"The Steal, the Shot, the Splash" is too long

I think "The Shot" may stick

I’ve seen that graphic a lot and it bugs me that he’s in the wrong jersey. I guess the piping on the white throwbacks is more recognizable as being UConn.

The worst this about this is that you thought it up. The second worst thing about it is that I laughed.
can't take credit. but given boozer was the NPOY, and the twins were on the team, and every 10 seconds they showed carlos....i feel it is apt.

The play on "buzzer beater" is the chef's kiss
