Floaters are ok, until they turn into a swarm of bees, or you start seeing flashes or veiling.
So presumably floaters are signs of fraying of what attaches the retina?

Well if you see veiling it’s a bit late. But I had been seeing bees since I can remember.

If you have floaters make an appointment with retina specialists and get scans.

My run of the mill eye doctor didnt see anything 10 months prior...

Pardon my ignorance, but by scans you mean retina scans, right?

Yes. That’s what happened to my right eye. But there is nothing they can do until you are detached. Sometimes it moves slower and sometimes not. I was on an island and couldn’t get to a doctor until the next day. I had one retinal specialist laser one eye prophylactically and that was the first one to detach. I still believe he made it worse. I don’t believe the lasers ever helped me at all.

Reminds me that one of my pupils is more dilated than the other from an airbag exploding in my face. The two sets of eye drops got rid of the blurred vision but the eye doc basically told me I could be farked later in life. Just another wonderful thing to look forward to!

Interesting. They told me after the lasers would have been potentially prophylactic - but if you told me they say that to drive claim payments I wouldn’t be surprised.

I think the doc I had at the time was just trigger happy and past his prime.

My doc is trigger happy and is about 25 years old. Someone figured out early he was going to be a cutter. His hands are softer than a cherub’s.

Yea his fridge had a couple cases in it. How many man buns did you see?

Including his? It was a “block party” so I’m sure there were others but it was so unremarkable and lame that I don’t remember.
