Have you jokers been to the brewery that is open like 90 minutes 3 days a week?
Where? New Britain?

Good timing.
My right retina detached in mid-December. Surgery went ok - it was harder than the first and I was the first person they had stay awake for it in a year.
The bad news - think it redetached this morning based on what I’m seeing.
Headed towards three eye surgeries in 7 months - pretty excited.

Damn, that's no good. I hope this surgery works out better for you.
Is it the same deal where you have basically listen to audibooks all day?
Not really a drinker these days. I'm sure @Rocktheworld has their official growler though.
Sorry to hear that. I think we have the same eyes; yours are just a little younger. I think I told you I went through this in each eye around ten years ago and similarly had three surgeries in 12 months. The laser never worked for me but the good news is that after the second vitrectomy I have had no worsening in either eye. One eye came close to all the way back and the other didn’t, but it’s certainly dealable. Eye pressures also crept up in each eye post-surgery and have never gotten back down to ideal pressures, but again they have been holding steady and no further degradation. Good luck and again PM me with any questions. I learned more than I ever wanted to know about all this stuff.Good timing.

Pizza ain't bad.
Sorry to hear that, hope it gets figured out.Nothing other than I am predisposed to it because I’m extremely nearsighted.
My left detached in June when I stood up from laying around my hotel room - went half blind instantly.
My right I started seeing odd flashes and lights in early December but I never lost vision.
This morning I started seeing the odd flashes and lights again. Hopefully tomorrow they can fix it with a laser because the surgery is a total pain in the rear.
Wow I didn’t think they did the buckle anymore. I thought the vitrectomy made that obsolete. Good luck. My right can only be corrected to 20/40 but my left can do 20/20 with correction. Hoping that holds.Thanks.
I got a buckle the second time on the right. My pressure was up in the right post surgery but came back down after a week.
They haven’t tried the laser on me. They teased me last time - brought me to laser room, then sent me for one last scan and said laser wouldn’t work. Doctor wanted to do surgery next day.. “Yeah I can’t my wife is in India”: ‘can’t someone else pick you up?’... yeah it wasn’t the ride I was sweating it’s my 9 year old.
My first surgery on left has stuck but they can only correct it back to 20/40.
I’m hoping tomorrow they will think the laser can fix, but I already know I’ll be back on Monday for round three. I have $537 worth of chair rental claims to send to United - glad I waited and can do them all at once.
Nope. Lol GermansYeah, hard pass on spaetzle, it’s over cooked pasta. I’m sure @August_West has a spaetzle machine though.
Yeah I am also an extreme myope, plus I had premature cataracts in each eye and a congenital thinning of the retinal wall called “lattice” so it was like a perfect storm for detachment risks.Nothing other than I am predisposed to it because I’m extremely nearsighted.

As you already seem to appreciate, the second vitrectomy is a little bit more of a pita because you know what’s coming and it’s pretty dreadful. The only thing better the second time was the anesthesiologist, who did a much better job than the first one did.

So Hedonism is nice, huh?I had no idea that everyone didn’t know what floaters and lattice were. I had heard people mention so I figured everyone just saw black spots all through their vision constantly.
I was on vacation when my left popped but what I now know is lattice had gotten so bad I was going to make an appt when I got home.
I’ll share what is now a funny story but could have been super embarassing.
Was at a fancy resort in Bahamas. There were pools all over the property near our room. It was late afternoon but still sunny and hot. Walking back to the room like 15 minutes earlier there was a small wedding like 50 yards from our door.
Decided to hit the pool near the room, closed my eyes so my wife could spray me with some sunscreen. When I opened them my left had detached and had lost 33% or so of vision. For someone who hasn’t had this happen it’s hard to explain.... it’s like you are looking through a colorful jellyfish - cloudy, shimmering and bright colors.
Now I don’t want to panic - so we go to the pool - 30 yards from where this wedding was just minutes before.
I’m totally thrown because I have no idea what is happening - I figure I may have had a stroke or something.
Get to the pool and instead of taking off my shirt to get in - I took off my trunks. With one foot out my wife screamed WHALER what are you doing - luckily the wedding had wrapped up and cleared out.
Told her about 3 hours later why it happened after I had googled enough to understand what it was.
So Hedonism is nice, huh?

If I have surgery yes, hoping it’s early enough they can do with laser in office.
You can actually watch TV and look at computers it’s just face down with one eye.
Last time I watched Haunting of Hill House.
Based on his three surgeries you may not want his recommendation lolOh that's right. Like the mall massage chairs: I think you mentioned once before.
I really gotta get my ass to an optometrist soon too. My eye doctor keeps saying my floaters are ok, but they still concern me..may have to shoot you a PM for a recommendation if I ever have to have a procedure.

Floaters are ok, until they turn into a swarm of bees, or you start seeing flashes or veiling.Oh that's right. Like the mall massage chairs: I think you mentioned once before.

Yea his fridge had a couple cases in it. How many man buns did you see?I went to one with your brother in law on New Park in Hartford. I was the driver but it was awful, tons of @Rocktheworld emo chicks though. Nice armpit hair!
