It's slowly sinking in for me how huge #4 is:

All time rank for total National Championships:
UCLA 11
Kentucky 8 (could be 10 without UConn)
Indiana 5
North Carolina 5
Connecticut 4
Duke 4 (could be 6 without UConn)
Kansas 3
Louisville 3

Last 50 Years (1964 - 2014):
UCLA 11
Kentucky 4
Indiana 3
North Carolina 4
Connecticut 4
Duke 4
Kansas 2
Louisville 3

Since going to 32 Teams 39 years (40 doesn't change anything) (1975 - present)
UCLA 2
Kentucky 3
Indiana 3
North Carolina 4
Connecticut 4
Duke 4
Kansas 2
Louisville 3

Since going to 64 Teams -29 years (30 doesn't change anything) (1985-present)
UCLA 1
Kentucky 3
Indiana 1
North Carolina 3
Connecticut 4
Duke 4
Kansas 2
Louisville 2

Last 20 years (1994-2014)
UCLA 1
Kentucky 3
Indiana 0
North Carolina 2
Connecticut 4
Duke 2
Kansas 1
Louisville 1

Since UConn starting winning them 15 years ago (1999-2014)
UCLA 0
Kentucky 1
Indiana 0
North Carolina 2
Connecticut 4
Duke 2
Kansas 1
Louisville 1

That's pretty freakin elite no matter which metric you choose, but looking at the progression, it's pretty obviously who is trending up. Also amazing that since going to 64 teams in 85, only UConn and Duke have 4.

meant to say 30 years sorry haha. But yes, we're in a league of our own really

Not that I really care, but seems to me that Syracuse is among the missing???

It's even more mindblowing when you break it down like that. We're either tied for first or all alone at the top in the title count until you go far back enough to include the Wooden-era UCLA juggernaut and the racially segregated teams before 1964.
